After 2 years I just threw mine in the garbage and bougt a Cannon. The ink is too expensive and it dries out quickly. You cannot change out the print heads when they dry out and it costs too much to have fixed. If one color ink is out, you are left to the mercy of time to go get one because the printer don't work in black only. I would not recommend this printer to anyone. Performance The scanner is great on this machine if that is all you want and the printing is fine. The problem is that the ink is too high and you cannot change a print head out to fix the problem when the ink dries on them. When I called customer service to help me lean how to change out the print head, they just said that it would be too difficult for me to do. How would they know? I have taken sewing machines apart and put them back together again and they will not even give me a diagram to use to try to replace them? Copy Quality Copy quality is just fine. Ink/Paper Use Ink don't last long at all and costs are out of the roof. Durability Didn't last very long, I am still using my Epson from years ago.

I received this as a gift from my sister. She purchased it for her own use but never did use it do she gave it to me. It was missing the power cord, so I called customer service to find out how much a replacement would cost. They sent me a replacement at no charge!!! The prints come out crystal clear, colors are sharp and vibrant, and it is whisper quiet while functioning. I have no complaints about thid one. Performance Quick and quiet. Copy Quality Crystal clear Ink/Paper Use Ink seems to ;ast a good long while. Ease of Use Extremely easy to set up and use. Durability No problems here Design very nice look.

It's a very easy to use printer.  Four in one is good because you can scan, print, and fax.  I like how it allows you to put in the memory card or thumbdrive and load the print job directly to the printer without turning on the computer.  The instruction to install the software to the computer is very simple and quick.  As with other printers, if you lost the CD software, you could just get it online through the manufacture website.  The size is reasonable as it doesn't take up too much space on the desk.  You could adjust the settings to print different sizes paper and envelopes.  The black ink lasts pretty long compare to the other printers.  But the color inks go out pretty quick.  The price for the ink is kind of expensive compare to other brands.  I guess that's why the printer itself is much more affordable compare to the other brands.  The print job is clear and neat.  It doesn't smear like other laser jet printers, especially when you have a big print job (over 30 pages).  The colors are bright and clean.  You could print photos directly from the printer even though it is not a special made photo printer.  It's pretty quiet compare to other printers when printing. The Lexmark Prevail Pro705 is the worste printer I have ever owned. The print quality is terrible and the wireless does not work properly. I have not owned many printers, mainly because my HP printer worked so well for so long. Will never buy Lexmark again, only HP.

I really love my All in 1 lexmark Pro705 Inkjet Printer. The touch screen is sensitive and easy to use. I like the Scan to email option on it which makes my job so much more easy. Setting it up is easy. plug and go and thats what i like. Simple in the best terms. no hoopla!!!

We replaced an HP all-in-one and a little Dell color printer with the Lexmark Pro705 All-in-One printer. Overall, we have been very please with this printer. It was less expensive than an HP and the ink, although not as inexpensive per cartridge as I had expected from other reviews of Lexmark, is somewhat less expensive than HP cartridges and seems to last quite a while longer. This all-in-one is also wireless, something else we were looking for in a replacement printer. Set-up of the first computer was very easy. I did have some difficulty setting up the second computer, but this may have been an issue with this computer itself, as set-up of the 3rd was not too bad. There used to be an issue with getting the printer to start occasionally and I would have to manually press the start button if the printer had been idle for a long period. However, that problem appears to have been fixed in the with the latest software update from Lexmark. Other features of this printer that I like - paper feed for copying multiple pages, excellent scan and copy quality, 2-sided printing option. The one thing I don't care for with this printer is the cheap feel of the paper drawer and that it seems to "stick" when you slide the drawer back in. We haven't used the fax feature because we've been able to scan and email documents we would have faxed in the past. Overall, I would recommend this printer for a wireless printer for the home user.

We purchased the Lexmark Pro705 All-in-One InkJet Printer for our office. We were originally planning on a laser printer to replace our former laser printer (not a Lexmark). But this one was on sale with a great rebate, and we chose it because of the lower cost per copy when using the high yield cartridges. The quality of the printing is good, even though we have to take just a little more care not to get any moisture on the ink since it then smears. I'm not sure we're actually getting the low cost per copy we were promised in the advertising, but it is certainly fairly reasonable. The menu and help screens are self explanatory and easy to use. So far we haven't set up the fax or wireless functions but we're happy to have them if we need them! The only thing I don't like is the paper tray. Switching from 8.5x11 to 8.5x14 is cumbersome, and the plastic parts make me nervous--I am afraid that I will break something before long.

The Lexmark Pro 705All-In-One printer is a fantastic printer - especially for my needs, which is simply home printing. I primarily print documents, coupons, recipes, and a few other basic things, so my review is strictly on a home needs' basis - not so much as a business printer. My findings thus far have been extremely positive. Setup was a breeze. You must keep the printer near the computer for setup (I'm noting this because I keep my computer in the family room, and my printer in a back room so as to not take up much space). The setup takes about 20 minutes, and is extremely straightforward. In order to connect to your wireless network, you will need to use the included USB cable, but once your printer finds the network, you are free to unplug and move to any location you choose. After moving my printer to a room approximately 30-35 ft. away from the computer, I began testing the printing capabilities. The printing quality, while not the best, is definitely acceptable for my standards, but I wouldn't exactly say that it's the sharpest print out there. After tweaking some settings with the extremely sharp touch screen, I was able to set the printer display to sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity, which was necessary, as the printer's location is in the guest bedroom. Copying pages worked smoothly and without any glitches. Scanning directly to my computer also was a simple experience.

THROUGH THE YEARS WE HAVE HAD A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT BRANDS AND TYPES OF PRINTERS.  THIS LEXMARK IS BY FAR THE BEST WE HAVE EVER OWNED.  IT FUNCTIONS AS A PRINTER, SCANNER, COPIER, AND FAX MACHIINE.  YOU CAN COPY OR FAX FROM IT TOTALLY INDEPENDENT FROM THE COMPUTER.  IT ALL STARTED NICELY WITH EASY INSTALLATION  IF I CAN INSTALL ONE, ANYONE CAN.  SPENT LESS TIME AND EFFORT INSTALLING THIS ONE THAN ANY IN THE PAST.  WE EVEN LATER INSTALLED IT TO WORK WIRELESS.  IT WILL GO BOTH WAYS.  THIS IS THE FIRST PRINTER WE EVER HAD THAT WOULD DO TWO-SIDED PRINTING.  I WAS AFRAID TO TRY IT THINKING IT WOULD BE TOO DIFFICULT.  I FINALLY REACHED A SITUATION WHERE I NEEDED IT, SO TRIED IT.  VERY EASY AND SIMPLE TO ACCOMPLISH.  VERY HANDY ON CERTAIN OCCASIONS.  WE LIKE THE FACT THE IT HAS FOUR SEPARATE INK CARTRIDGES.  YOU JUST NEED TO REPLACE THE ONES AS THEY ACTUALLY BECOME EMPTY.  PRINT QUALITY IS GREAT, BOTH ON BLACK AND COLOR.  AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCEPTIONAL.  KNOWLEDGABLE PHONE PERSONNEL WHO GET THE JOB DONE.  WOULD RECOMMEND HIGHLY.

 Lexmark Pro705 All-In-One InkJet Printer is a good printer.  It is a good  printer with excellent print quality. Much better than the HP one I had . So far I really enjoy having it. The Set up was simple and you can scan directly to different computers on the network. The network capabilities is good but I am using the wired option. Great for the price.  The ink is cheap enough, cheaper than other brand, pretty user friendly.  The design is sleek.   Lexmark support is fantastic and I even got 4 extra years warranty to registering it. Good Lexmark site for documentation and replacement supply purchase. Excellent print management software. Prints two-sided. Auto doc feeder. Wireless. Large capacity. Four separate ink cartridges. It doesn't have a touch screen like the 805 to be damaged. The bad thing about it is that Little noisy, but I think all All-in-One Printers is like that.
