This was one of the first Broadway shows I was introduced to as a child and still one of my favorites today.  As a little girl, I used to sing the songs, imagining that I was little Cosette.  As I got older, my "character" changed, but my love for the power of the music and the beautiful story set forth by Victor Hugo only grew.  Just listening to the CD can take you into a completely different place and make you swell with emotion.  I have also read the book, and of course, nothing beats seeing this amazing show on stage (which I have done 4 times).
