I bought the Lenovo Y430 with Core 2 Duo 1.6GHz, 3GB Ram, 250 GB disk space, and the usual features that come with other laptop.  I paid $600 plus tax + free shipping at TigerDirect.com.  It has a neat face recognition feature that doesn't work really well.  Half of the time it doesn't recognize my face, so much for high tech stuffs eh?  Other than that, it has been a great laptop.  It starts up quickly, and shut down in a timely matter.  However, while it's shutting down, if you close the monitor, the shut down process will be halted.  So I have to let it shut down completely before I can put it away.  There suppose to be a subwoofer built in, but you can hardly notice it.  Another draw back to this laptop is the location and the sensitivity of the mouse pad.  It's really easy to move the cursor while you're typing anything.  It can drive you crazy sometime.  I wish Lenovo would change that. I highly recommend you partition the disk drive to save yourself some headache later on.  Overall, I really like my laptop a lot.
