Lenovo T60 ThinkPad Laptop Review Summary
It seems the transition from IBM to Lenovo has not hurt the ThinkPad’s legendary quality and dependability. Case in point: our community has nothing but praise for the
Lenovo (ThinkPad) T60. One reviewer hailed it as
“A reliable, sturdy workhorse of a laptop,” while another lauded the laptops’
“well-designed case” and

Happy laptopper
I have a Lenovo IBM ThinkPad T60 200744U Notebook. This machine’s hard drive is a 512MB, 60 GB The T60 costs upwards of $2000. These numbers not only affect the storage capacity but the rotational speed of the drive. It holds a lot of memory but it's given to me from my employer so I think it's geared toward the workplace. — — It is about 10 inches by 10 inches by 1 inch. The screen display is 14 inches which is measured diagonally. It weighs about 5 1/2 pounds. This has a matte style screen. The screen is clear. The colors are true colors. The graphics chipset is…

For the last ten years I have primarily used IBM Thinkpad laptops. (Now called Lenovo since IBM sold the division to a Chinese company called Lenovo). I like the IBM laptops for one important reason. They are reliable. I travel constantly and have never had one crap out on me. I take it home every day and on every road trip. I always carry it with a padded insert in my briefcase or backpack which is something I would recommend everyone does, but many don't. — Recently, last August when it came time to buy another laptop (when I started…

After suffering with a Dell Inspiron for 4 years, my recent purchase of the Lenovo Thinkpad leaves me extremely satisfied. This is a high quality piece of hardware. It comes out of sleep/hibernation mode seamlessly. It never overheats or crashes (my Dell frequently did). The fan is quiet. And the Lenovo system tools and resources work quite well. — I rarely move around with the laptop, but the battery has held up nicely. Usually, I can work for 90 minutes before recharging. — The one negative thing I have to say is that the laptop looks ugly. It's not as stylish as a…

This has a smaller footprint than the IBM Laptops of old and it even seems better at holding up to my extensive fieldwork. I work in dusty places and my Lenova has held up beautifully. It is easy to upgrade and I do recommend getting 1 gig of RAM along with a seperate videocard. My unit had no dead pixels and fortunately came with Windows XP2....although I do hear Vista is finally shaping up. Overall, this computer rivals any Dell, HP, and Gateway I've…

I would have to say that i absolutely love this laptop. Thinkpad has madde it a lot more user friendly and i think that everyone should try it out! The fingerprint scanner is an added extra and i love it... no need to type in passwords anymore. i also love the function keys. it is very easy to put the computer to sleep or open up your wireless information! i use this for college because we are required to have a laptop. i go to a polytechnic school and they reccomend this laptop to everyone. it is that good. a set back is that it is not as sleek as some other computers i have seen. it is very…

The good: Sturdy, well-designed case; strong security features; full range of networking connections, including WWAN and Bluetooth; swappable internal bay; solid warranty terms and well-reputed support. — The bad: Starting price is higher than comparable systems'; lacks a number of nonessential but fairly standard ports and connections. — The bottom line: The premium you pay is worth it: the ThinkPad T60 delivers a sturdy design, a complete range of network connectivity, top-shelf performance, long battery life, and just enough ports for the typical business user. —…

I have a T60 at home to be a dedicated movie player. I connected it to my LCD TV and used it to play Divx/xvid movies and it works great. I had very few hardware/software issue versus other laptops I had previously. It's nice and slim so it doesn't look bulky or heavy if I need to take it to work or coffee shop to do some work. The price was the only factor for me not to get a IMB/Lenovo laptop…

personally, I really liked the coloring on the mouse buttons. I'm a fan of using suttle color to make things stand out as being an important function (and mouse buttons are an important function). The coloring was also unique and something different, I'd prefer if Lenovo leave the obsessively clean looks to Sony and Apple. Besides, the ThinkPad is sometimes called too boring in its all black look, and tearing away what color there is makes it look more boring and, might I say -- generic. The button size change was made consciously by Lenovo to improve usability, argument being larger buttons…

I really like this laptop, nice sized screen for watching movies, thin enough that it is not too heavy. I use this laptop at work and at home. I can unplug from network and power and do what I want with no problems. I have personally seen other laptops that do not function very well when unplugged from power or the network without…

This laptop is definitely very portable and is probably fairly good for the inexperienced user. However, the keyboard is very cheap and it is not very rfiendly to new operating systems. I put Windows XP on it and it decides to drop control of the mouse sometimes and also likes to disregard the soundmax drivers. It does have good battery life compared to similar laptops, but it is a very boring…
