the lenovo g450 is a very good laptop. it is part of the budget line laptop of Ideapads from lenovo. There are a couple of cons, but i will get to that later. the pros are many, including a very sleek look and clean glossy finishes. it has 3 usb ports, a vga port and an hdmi port and a dvd burner drive. It is very quiet and the fan cannot usually be heard unless you are at 100% cpu usage. The discrete nvidia G210 graphics is average, it is much better than integrated graphics but not as good as other dedicated graphics cards. Battery life is normal, about 3-4 hours depending on how hard you are working your laptop when running on the batteries. the cons however is that because it is a budget line laptop, the material it is made of isnt as solid as say a Thinkpad. however, this should be too big of a problem as long as you keep it in a good laptop sleeve when travelling and taking care not to bump the laptop too hard or too much when carrying it around
