Lego wall of Legos —

Legos have been around for such a long time.  I remember playing with them when I was little.  It's such a fun way to get your child to use their imagination and creativity.  There is just so much they can do with them!  The possibilities are endless!

There are Legos for all price ranges too.  You can purchase small sets, that would make great Stocking Stuffers, for less than $ 5.00!  These sets include, but aren't limited to:

  • Firefighter Set
  • Doctor & Patient Set
  • Builder Set
  • Mini Construction Set
  • Sports Car Sets

For a price of $ 20.00 or less, there are bigger, better sets with more pieces.

  • Prisoner Transport
  • Indiana Jones and The Lost Tomb
  • Jungle Duel Set
  • Helicopter Set
  • Street Sweeper Set

And for $ 50.00 or more, you can buy an ultimate play set that will occupy your child for days.

  • Fire Station
  • Big Farm
  • Coast Guard Patrol
  • Police Headquarters
  • Custom Garage Sets

I was able to find all the sets listed above at the Lego Website. Lego.com.  Then, just follow the "shop" link.  Some of the Lego pieces can be quite small, so don't buy these for very young children.  They could very easily be swallowed if put inside the mouth.

Legos are durable, plastic pieces that interlock together.  You can build anything your imagination will allow.  When you buy specific sets, you are limited to building the pieces made for the set.  But if you buy just a big tub of Legos, the sky is the limit!  My kids like to build big garages for their Matchbox Cars.  Then build houses and turn it into a miniature city.

I would recommend buying a smaller set for a child that has never used Legos before.  Once they learn how to piece them together, then they may be ready for a larger one.  It takes a little practice, and a lot of imagination, to learn how to make all the fun & exciting things possible with Legos.  And the only bad thing is, having to take it apart after you've gotten it together!

Legos, Lincoln Logs, and Tinker Toys. I still want one of those Kinexis (sp.?) sets. I want to build a big roller coaster! I built a beautiful dollhouse in about 6 wks. and no one thought I could. Hmm...someone needs to get me one of those sets ;+) ~Gigi
