LEGO Thomas Load and Carry Train Set Review

My son Justin is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan and he has quite an extensive collection.  He was first introduced to Thomas very early on because my other son was also a big fan.  For Justin's third birthday, he received the Lego Thomas Load and Carry Train Set as a gift.  It was one of his most favorite gifts of all.

My Experience

This set comes with a lot of pieces (61 to be exact) but they are larger pieces which was less of a hassle to find when we lost them.  At three years old, my son had no problem picking up these blocks and connecting them. The tracks were a little bit harder to connect but after a few attempts, my son was doing fine on his own.  He would spend hours just loading Thomas up at the cargo tower and then driving him over by hand to Tidmouth Station. Luckily we own other Lego Duplo sets so he could change his track around a bit rather than just having one shape that the 16 pieces of track provided.  It is a great starter kit!

My Final Viewpoint

My son who is now six years old, still loves the Lego Thomas Load and Carry Train Set.  He has incorporated with his other Lego Duplo's and still spends a lot of time playing with it.  It is a durable and fun set that I recommend and give it a 4 star rating.  I would go with 5 but the track that is included does limit play unless you have other sets or purchase them.
