Lego and Minecraft best combination

These were among the first sets of Minecraft Legos to come out. They are micro worlds so they are really small versions of Minecraft places in the game. It is really fun to put together things on a miniature scale. I love how all of the different micro world sets actually hook together to make an even larger Minecraft world. This one comes with three Endermen and it comes with a much bigger than any of the other characters in the other sets, the Ender Dragon. I love that these sets are true to the game of Minecraft and all of it's different parts and creations. This set has four different parts that you build separately and then you put them together to form a Minecraft cube. Plus you can mix and match them into any design you want. So that allows for more imagination in play time.

Lego Minecraft: "The End" Is Just The Beginning

When Lego announced that it was going to release Minecraft sets I was curious to see how the designers were going to approach the theme. Minecraft started out as a open-world video game that allowed players to create their own unique world although you were limited to the block-styled shapes similar to Lego pieces. The preview sets confirmed what I initially thought; the designers weren't creating new elements or pieces. They did fabricate new character figures however they looked a lot like the Micro figures that were released for the Harry Potter series. "The End" is a 440 piece set that was released in 2013. It contains four of the micro Enderman mob figures and a dragon. It is recommended for those ages ten and older because of the small pieces that are in the set. There is a lot of replay value to "The End" because of the myriad of shapes and colors that were used by the designers. It goes without saying that to get the most from this set you are going to need to get other Lego Minecraft themed sets. In addition to "The End" you can also get "The Nether", "The Village" and the larger expansion boxed sets. The pieces in this set are completely compatible with other standard Lego pieces so if you have a ton of flat 1x1 or 1x2 elements from other sets you can use them with this one. One of the biggest perks to this set is the number of flat-top / smooth 1x1 pieces that are used to cap off the top sections to give it a nicer look.

Great toy!

I bought this for my youngest grandson and was a bit worried that he would be too old at 12 to enjoy it. So, I also purchased the Minecraft game to pair with it. He loved both gifts! It didn't take him too long to put it together, even though there are many, many pieces. I thought he would tire of it due to the quick assembly, but no. He puts it together again often. Then, he plays his game. The pieces are quite small, so be careful with them around very small children. It does fall apart easily too, but that could be another reason to put it back together again. Good to know though. Also good to know is the finished size of the toy. It's about 3"X3"X3". The price may be an issue for some as well. However, I found this one on sale for about 20% off. So, watch the sales. It's been some time since I gave my grandson this Lego product. Nevertheless, he still loves it. I would recommend purchasing more than one Lego product or pairing it as I have for the older child.

Great for those who love MInecraft and Lego

I got this item for my 10 year old nephew who loves Minecraft and Legos, plus it was the only thing he really wanted for Christmas. It is similar to the game, if you're familiar with it. There are a lot of pieces, which means there are a lot of ways to create things. My nephew got 3 out of 4 sets, so he was able to use pieces from all of them and create a lot of different scenes from the game. These Legos keep him entertained for hours. Legos are definitely good for being creative and using your imagination. He always has something new to show me. I do not quite understand it, but I am glad he is enjoying it! I would recommend this product to any boy who loves both Minecraft and Legos. Being able to create their own scenes will make them happy and get them away from video games! I had fun creating my own scenes, only to be told by my nephew that it was not right. That is why Legos are so great, you can build anything!

If your child loves legos and minecraft then this is perfect

This was a gift for my ten year old son, and he couldn't wait to rip into the packaging and get started. He loves Minecraft, and he really loves Legos, and when we saw that they had Minecraft themed Legos, we had to give these a try. This was the first Minecraft set we had bought, and we found that the instructions were really easy to follow, and the pictures also helped to see how it goes together. One of the best things about this set is that it comes with the Ender dragon. My ten and eight year-olds have played with this creating lots of scenarios for their mini figs to play. I do with that there was a Steve mini figure that came with this set. The only con that we found with this set is that there are so many small pieces, it was hard to keep track of them. I would recommend this Lego toy set for any boys that love Minecraft. The square legos are so much like the pixelation on Minecraft.
