LeapFrog Leapster 2

LeapFrog Leapster 2

DEC

2009

Bought this for my 6 year old daughter and she played it for 2 hours straight the first time she turned it on.  We connected to the leapster website and she was able to play games online and do other activities.  Batteries seem to last a decent amount of time but I plan on buying the recharging kit.  Then my 8 year old son got his hands on it and enjoyed playing it as well.  Downloaded a demo of the Star Wars game and now he wants the full game.  Not sure if I should eventually purchase the Diji for my older son but may purchase the Star Wars game so he can play his sisters leapster when she...

I recently bought this product for my 2 year old son. Although the age on it is 3 to 6 years old my son is pretty smart for his age so I went ahead and got it hoping he would be able to use it. He absolutely loves it and so do I. It hooks up to the tv and has fun games to go along with it that are all full of learning. He has learned so much from this and i am surprised at how well it keeps his attention, as he is VERY hyper and never seems to sit still. He will play on this for as long as i will let him, which i usually pull him away from it after a couple hours. LeapFrog is a great brand and...

I bought this for my two and a half year old twin daughters for Christmas. I was a little unsure in the store if my kids were ready for this type of learning toy. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was. The books are great and they include many series that we watch on TV. The reader is easy to use for their small hands. I bought the reader itself on sale around christmas time for a GREAT deal and the books, which are normally around $8 to $10 I got (with coupons and store sales) for less than $5 each. We own every book in the library but hope they come out with more soon.

The drawbacks...

I bought this toy for my twins when they were about 9 months old. They are both in occupational and physical therapy and this toy comes very highly recommended by our therapists. It offer so much stimulation, with buttons to push, sounds to hear,  and lights to see that my kids loved it. It is afordable and can often be bought on sale or at a yard sale. It is very easy to put together (took me about 5 minutes).

My kids are now two and a half and they still play with this toy. It has lasted throwing it, standing on it, climbing on it and it is still in great shape. I wish all toys were this...

We love our LeapFrog Leapster handheld systems.  I originally bought them when we were going on a trip and were going to be in the airport and on airplanes for one day each way.  They worked great for that purpose.  They can be hooked up to headphones and with a variety of games can keep my children's attention for a while.  But we also use them around the house.

My 4 and 6 years olds are completely independent while using the LeapFrog Leapster Systems and my 3 year old can play some if she gets occassional help.  There is a wide variety of games for all ages.  Some are more complicated and...

Our whole family loves Legos.  They are so durable my son has and plays with some of his father's Legos that are 30 years old.  They are the classic building toy and unlike many toys that have spanned many years, they are the same quality and duribility as the origionals.  How many toys from 30 years ago can you seamlessly play with now.  I can look at the minifugures from my husbands sets and generally tell them from my son's due to coloring or theme, but the individual bricks cannot be distinguished and you can build with both in the same project without issue.  Many will say they are expensive,...

The  Playskool Busy Ball Popper is one of the best toys they have made and that I have bought for my toddler.  My toddler has played with it many many times and everytime my toddler does play it my toddler gets excited everytime. My husband and i have never had a problem with this toy and we have had it for quite sometime now.  It comes with colorful balls that pop out with air in the loopy part and slide down the slide that attaches to the machine. I think the toy comes with five balls I am not sure since my toddler has lost a few and is now down to only three.  But even though some balls...

Fi U Li Ui, Ri Di R D, U R Ui Ri Ui Fi U F, Ui Li U L U F Ui Fi, F R U Ri Ui Fi, R U Ri U R U U Ri, U R Ui Li U Ri Ui L, and Ri Di R D are the only algorithms you will ever need to know for this game. They are the answers to all secrets. They make confusion look like pattern. They make an aggravating game make you seem like the smartest kid on the block.

The Rubik's cube is the perfect toy. Though there are multiple sizes (4x4x4, 5x5x5...), the classic 3x3x3 is the way to go. This game is wonderful. The end.

At times, the swivle action may seem hard...that can be solved with a little WD40. The...

the original leapfrog leapster is an wonderful invention! they age limit on it doesn't even do it justice. we got it for my son a few months before he turned 3 and he picked up pretty quickly on the concepts of the games rated 4 and up. there are many fun and educational games available for the leapster system. my son has clifford, wall-e, backyardigans and finding nemo. he loves them all. my 2 1/2 year old daughter loves it too. "santa" is bringing her a pink leapster with a disney princesses game this year. my son is getting a new batman cartridge. even though there is now a leapster 2 available,...

I got this for my 4 ½ year old daughter. She loves it! It's helped her read books and it makes sounds when you touch the pictures.  I also recieve emails updating me on her progress, which books she reads most, how long she plays, and learning percentages. I can also see which questions she answers right and how many she gets right. You can also hook it up to the computer and your child earns prizes!

I also like that you can upload the books onto the pen and dont have cartridges and all the mess of having all the things that go with it. It's easy to grab the pen and book and go.

You upload a...

Aquadoodle Spinmaster is a great way for toddlers or preschoolers, brothers and sisters to share on the floor, during busy stressful times so you can get your Mom job done! Yo may want to buy extra water pens to prevent arguments.

Its easy to travel with and use at your in laws house or grandparents to prevent mess and cook and clean with the other women. The only thing I really disliked about it was it is not washable. Surface wash only, and itdoes get dirty with toddlers and puppies trapling it.

I would still buy it again and have more than one over time, its cleaner and safer than dry erase...

Crayola. With this one word some many different thoughts and feelings are brought about. Crayola crayons and other products have been around for so many years due to their durability and ease of use. You can purchase different crayon products and oftentimes at a lesser price, but if you don't buy Crayola crayons than you are not getting the real deal. Crayola crayons are non-toxic, and come in the most beautiful, vivid colors. Also the names of some of the colors cannot be beat. Who doesn't want to color with a crayon color "macaroni and cheese"? Even though my youngest is now almost a teenager,...
