The John Deere Mighty Trike

by Learning Curve Toys

Vince Gill sang "Well she might have took my car keys but she forgot about my old John Deere." John Deere is never forgotten around our "farmette."  Our John Deere is one of our proudest purchases.  We use it for our garden, to move dirt, to move rocks, to clear snow, to plant trees and yes, occasionally even to drive to the mailbox or pose our kids for their Christmas photo.  I know, I know... but it does look really Christmassy when they sit on the green tractor with their cute red outfits.  Anyway...

When it time to buy our son a tricycle, it just had to be a John Deere.  Not only does it have the classic, cool look with the John Deere colors and logo, this is a very well made tricycle.  It is made of high grade tubular steel and has large, off-road tires.  This trike works great on a park track but it will also go where no tricycle has gone before.

It measures 34" x 26" and it is heavy.  It is not a light weight, easy-to-throw-in-the-vehicle ride on toy, but there in lies the durability.  The seat is easily (I mean so easy I can do it.) adjustable as your child grows.

It also comes with a 90 day warranty.  We have had no problems with ours in the two years that it has been used, abused and enjoyed.  The green color has faded a bit but the yellow is still bright.

Question and Answer Session on the John Deere Mighty Trike Ride On Toy:

Q:  Does it come in pink?
A:  No.  The John Deere Mighty Trike only comes in the classic green and yellow John Deere colors.

Q:  Can a grown man ride it?
A:  Yes, but only if he has short legs and even shorter pride.

Q:  Can I get Farm Use Tags for my John Deere Mighty Trike?
A:  In some counties, yes, but it is not necessary.  I also don't recommend trying to write it off as farm equipment.

My Viewpoint:

The John Deere Mighty Trike is the only way to go for tricycles for John Deere enthusiast.  Even if your're not a loyalist to the green and yellow, the John Deere Mighty Trike is a very well-made, durable and adjustable with growth tricycle that can be handed down over and over.

Enjoyed how you wrote your review. My cousin had all the John Deere toys when he was a kid.

What a great review! I didn't even know about this. It sure sounds like a more dependable and safer "ride" than those "Big Wheels" things. Gee, you guys must have a pretty good-sized spread. I hope someday you'll post a picture of your kids on your profile page.

It really will Patty! Despite the whole "we love John Deere thing," this is a very durable trike.

Great review. My three year old nephew would love this. He's tough on his stuff and I know this would hold up.

" it will also go where no tricycle has gone before." Is that a Star Trek reference I see?
