Thomas the Tank Engine "take along" sets permit maximum creativity for toddlers. The track can be laid out in a variety of simple or complicated routes for the train. The sets each come with different cars, and extra cars and track are readily available. Based on the Thomas the Tank Engine stories, these "take along" play sets are small enough and light enough for a toddler to take when he goes out visiting. It gives the child something creative to do while adults visit.
