awesome

This is a great toy when in the down position. For babies learning to walk, the wheels move too fast. It's too bad they didn't put a brake on the wheels or some way to slow them down. My son is 10 months and is beginning to walk on his own. NOW he can use this toy and it's beginning to be more fun and less hazardous. It would have been better if he could have used it earlier. Anyway, my only other gripe is that it plays the same two songs again and again!! I would buy this for an older baby who can control his speed.

A great push toy for early walkers!

The Leapfrog Learning Band Walker was given to us when my son was learning to stand and walk. It provided stability and balance, as well as entertaining music that encouraged him to walk while pushing the toy. As he pushed the toy, music played. Although as adults we did not like the music (it seemed repetitive and annoying), he seemed to really enjoy it. This was one toy that taught him to walk because he really seemed to enjoy pushing it around. Even now at age two, he will occasionally push this toy and dance to the music. This toy is sturdy and useful for the early walker, but I wish it had some different features. To make it more versatile, it would be better if it transformed into a ride-on toy so that it was useful for a longer period of time. In addition, the music quality should be improved and the song should be either lengthened or varied to avoid monotony. I own several different Leapfrog products as well as several different push-toys and would recommend this one for being useful and educational.

Can't say enough about Leap Frog

5

I really cannot say enough good things about Leap Frog.  We have had many of the company's toys, books, movies, etc.  As a former teacher, I have a special place in my heart for anything for kids that can both entertain and teach.  This product accomplishes both.  My mother gave this to my daughter when she was nine months old.  Almost immediately she started pushing it and enjoying the songs.  Great for cause/effect, learning to walk, etc.  Years later her brother was able to use it as well.  It is a toy that grows with your children, can take abusive play (haha) and the sound quality is great.  Batteries don't drain too quickly.  It folds (actually the "legs" detach then reattach elsewhere) for easy storage (either between children or in your playroom).  We even kept it tucked under our mini trampoline when not in use.  The colors are bright and stimulating.  You may not be able to rid yourself of the "walk along" song, but it is not that bad compared to other products' music on the market.  The volume is adjustable, which is great in theory, but unlike other products, this one can be easily adjusted by kids (who tend to prefer the louder volume!)

Overpriced for what it is

I love LeapFrog products, so I was so excited to buy this walker for my baby.  We had the LeapFrog activity table, which was positively her very favorite thing for ages.  This though, not so much.  The music is repetetive and annoying (especially for parents).  It is quite stable and sturdy for little ones to push without trouble, but the keyboard on it doesn't respond to their exploration.  All the cool stuff on front that you see in the picture does move when the child pushes the walker, but doesn't respond to direct manipulation, which is kind of a bummer.  Enabling direct manipulation would add a whole 'nother dimension.  The price is also quite high for what you get, IMO, and is certainly not the best buy within the LeapFrog family.  In summary, I'd look elsewhere for a walker that provides more bang for your buck, and stick to tried and true Leap favorites like the activity table!

It Survived the Abuse From Both of My Boys & Still Going

A wonderful learning/activity toy.  Totally worth the money.  I have 2, not so little boys, that tried to put this toy through the ringer, but it's still going strong!  My youngest son is now 14 months and my oldest is 3 yrs old and they both still love to play with this toy.  Definitely getting our moneys worth out of this purchase!  Much more durable than the one my sister purchased for her son.

A grest independant toy for children

This toy is awesome, I am using it now with my son. I just started using it not too long ago but from what I see already i is an awesome toy. At first my son was just trying to stand with it and when I would help him he would sit right down after getting up! As the weeks went by of us using it he is standing with it alot more and even learning to kind of walk with it too! He seems to be very happy with his success after walking with the toy> Proud of himself. Before we got this toy he was trying to stand with the playpen and couch, all of the things that did not move which he hadn't been too happy with. Now hes running all over with me and this toy that he can now push by himself as I hold him. Leapfrog is also a very well known knowledgable brand. I dont think that there are many things that I dont like about it except I wish that it had a seat attached to it, that might help my back! As long as the baby laughs and smiles, which he does then I have to say that this toy is the best for babies who are just learning to get their way around a little bit!

pretty cool little walker!

I bought the Leap Frog Learning Band Walker for my daughter who, at the time, was about five months old. She first started playing with it without the wheels, just using the buttons and sounds on the front of the Learning Band walker. As she grew, she began to use it as it is intended, as a walker, around 7 months of age. She cruised around the house with ease by the time she was 8 months old by using this walker! I was really impressed with it. We also got her a couple of other push walker type toys to try some variety, but she had no interest what-so-ever in any other walker but the Learning Band walker. She was walking without any aid right around her first birthday, but she continued to use her Learning band walker frequently. When the time came to "retire" her Learning Band walker, she was not too pleased, to say the least! Lol... we had to wean her away from it! I would highly recommend this walker to anyone!

Bright colors, great sounds!

The Leapfrog Learning Bad Walker was a great investment. The bright colors and cheery songs were a hit with our baby. The only problem with this was that unless an adult was there with him, pushing down on the walker, even though he was an already experienced walker, it would go out from under his feet, and left several bruises on his face until we learned that. I think the toy was just too lightweight. If it is in the laying down mode, works great though, no problems at all.
