As "long time fans" of Leap Frog toys, we were a little surprised by this toy when we got it. At first it seemed like a very "simple" toy from an otherwise very detail focused company. We gave it to our then 18 month old son and he was happy to poke around at it a little but didn't seem to attached to it. One day while cleaning out the toy box I decided to stick it to the fridge and see if it got any more "action" there. At this point our son was now two and LOVED playing on the fridge with various magnets, and at first he seemed to ignore the fridge dj. A few days later he started poking at it and hasn't stopped since ... he can't be in the kitchen and NOT play with the fridge dj. He just turned 3 this past summer and when I casually asked him if he was done with the fridge dj he was unwavering in his reply: "NO!" The songs are cute and both boys (though I'm sure the 7 year old brother would never admit it) sing them around the house from time to time. I don't find the toy and it's music terribly annoying and it's SO cute to hear the kids singing along.
