Its great for learning letters and numbers

My son got this as a christmas gift and he will be 4 this year.. He does like this, he still has a problem with listening to the directions that it tells you to do. I like how the system comes with 4 games already installed, tigger and pooh, little einsteins, mickey, handy manny.. It did take him awhile to learn how to use it, now on some games he can play level 2. He gets bored of it quickly. Games are just plain and simple to follow. Graphics could be better. games are hard to find. Wish there was more games.. We did purchase a lightening mcqueen game for it, he does like that but that is the only boy game we can find for it. The system is very easy to install and hook up to your tv.

I love LeapFrog and think their toys are very good quality, and for this reason, I am a little disappointed with the Zippity. However, it does have some aspects about it that I like. My son, who is 4 years old, received it about a year ago as a gift from his grandma. He loves that he gets to play along with all of his favorite Disney characters. I love that he is learning and being active as he is playing. On the other hand, some of the games are slightly difficult for him to control, particularly the ones that use the bopper. I also wish that there were more games included, as they can get boring pretty quickly. It definitely does not keep his attention for as long as I would like and thought it would. We recently got the Toy Story 3 game for the Zippity, and my son likes it, but I think it is overpriced for what is included. Overall, the Zippity is an educational and fun game for preschoolers, but they may get bored with it quickly.

My preschooler enjoys Zippity

I bought this for my daughter last Christmas.  She likes playing it and it can keep her entertained for a decent amount of time.  The system is fairly easy for her to use-the directions about where to stand and how to play are explained clearly by the games.  We have two games in addition to the games that come with the system.  I like that there are several levels to the games so it can grow with her.  She especially likes the Princess and the Frog game-which has games that work with letters and numbers.  I had originally bought it with the idea that it would help her get some energy out during the winter months.  I wouldn't say that the games are actually vigorous or fast enough to create high energy play for most preschoolers, but it still gets her moving while she is learning.  The system consists of a game box and an activity pad with a large joystick attached.  You just connect three cords to your own TV, which is very simple and easy to set up.  The only issue I've found is that the activity pad is difficult to store because of the large joystick and I don't like to just leave it sitting out when she isn't playing it.

Fun concept for beginning gamers

I purchased this toy for my 2-(almost 3) and 4-year-old daughters. They were really excited to try it, but my 2-year-old got frustrated quickly and my 4-year-old got bored within a few minutes. I thought it would be a great way for them to play educational games and get a little exercise doing it (or at least not just sit on the couch with controllers in their hands), but when my 4-year-old played the Pooh music game, she DID sit down on her bum and just moved her feet to the appropriate colors. Even though my 2-year-old knows her colors, it was strange for her to move from color to color, and the color spots didn't always seem to respond when she stepped on them (and believe me, she's no lightweight!). I do think she'll have fun playing with it if I have time to sit there and play with her, but honestly I purchase these types of things to have them learning on their own while I do the things I need to do. It takes batteries for both the console and the stand, but you can purchase a plug for the console which would save a little money. I wish there was also a plug-in spot for the stand. I would recommend for a 2 or 3 year old, but I think it's boring for any older than that.

My four year old daughter loves this

4

We bought this toy last year for Christmas for my four year old daughter. My daughter always wants to play it. It came with a games for Winnie the Pooh, Little Einstein's, Mickey Mouse, and Handy Manny. We also add the princess game because my daughter loves Disney Princess. Each of these games has two games for each character to choose from. One of my daughters favorite is dancing with June from Little Einstein's. The use the joystick or the stepping pads depending on the level. I only had to show my daughter a few times and she has done nothing but learn and get smart because of these games. My favorite thing about all educational games is that it teaches strong listening skills. I am a large advocate for give them a few instructions as possilble and letting the child learn from the game. This year for Christmas my daughter will be getting the new Princess and the Frog game to add to this great learning game.

The Leap Frog Zippity is so fun and interactive

What do you do for Christmas for a three year old who has two older siblings that already has the toys she wants in the stores. Well we saw the Leap Frog Zippity and it was so different from anything we owned so we had to buy it. We also bought four games that go with it which are great because the games are from popluar tv shows and movies. A great accessory that we found is the adapter that allows you to plug the Zippity into the wall rather than using batteries, highly recommend buyong the adapter. All of my kids (three, six and eight) enjoy playing this. My three year old loves the Princess and the Frog game because she gets to jump and wiggle the joystick. The games can be set for different difficulty levels which is great for all my kids. The base of the Zippity is bigger than I expected and does take up a bit of storage space but is worth it because they have so much fun playing. Highly recommend.

So boring

2

I bought the Zippity for Christmas this year when my daughter was 2 1/2. The games are even too slow moving and boring for her age. I do like the concept of this toy and maybe other games that can be purchased for it are better, but we have tried the one that it comes with and the Princess one and they were both very boring. They could not hold her attention at all. It was way to expensive to be this bad. The joy stick also seems flimsy and if you have a wild toddler, I can see it just snapping off. Also, it takes a million C batteries and they do not last very long. I will say that it was simple to set up and figure out, but not very entertaining. If this product has more games available aimed at older kids maybe this product wouldn't be so boring. However, I can only speak for what actually came in the box. And for that, I would not advise that you buy this game. It was a huge waste of money for me and now it takes up space.

I love this product. It is awesome. I would use it anytime. My child has one. I can use it, too. Isn't that great? You know how it feels to be a single dad with a husand that can do anything you want to do? Well thats how I feel about my life. Lalalalalalalalalalalala! Fisher Price is awesome. You know what. I love this product so much. It is awesome. My husband uses this product. Lalalalalalalala! Come on and try this product. It helps your child learn. Teachers must use it. My friend told me to try this product. It is useful in learning. I feel young again. Hope you do to. I love this product. I wake up in the morning and use it. It is awesome.

This was one of our little kid Christmas He loves it  he has a little hard time with keeping up but he is stubborn he is 3yr and likes to do his way . Zippity comes with bopper (the stick) and interactive mat; console with attached AV cable .Come with four built in games Mickey says that is a different version of simon says Goofy's Fancy Dancing,Darby's Honey Pot Jam (Winnie the pooh)  ,June's Twist n'Twirl (little Einstein's) and Handy Manny Every games has a little introduction's make the child learn what this is about  You have also to be there explaining and once the kid gets the idea turns to be a very enjoyable game for you also you get a little break while  your little one is "plug in ". Each game has two levels and once your little one conquer them all , you have separates games to purchase for the Zippity like cars. will help your kid develop up and down number letters colors is a pretty neat overall system and is a very good alternatives to cartoons were in this case actions have a consequences and your little one gets a say in it . This game will not last long in years is for toddler and preschoolers will eventually have to be replace with another learning video game with superior skills. Bottom line  your little one will be jumping and dancing while  learning and having fun
