Most HelpfulI just love educational toys. It makes me feel good to know that when my kids are playing they are actually learning something as well. My youngest son is only 3 but it won't be long before he is in preschool and they will be expecting him to know his letters. I am pretty confident that by the...

Most HelpfulI saw this before Christmas and thought it would be a great gift for my toddler, who would be 2 1/2 on Christmas. I purchased it, wrapped it, and fought myself not to give it to my son early. By that time, my son already knew his ABC's, upper and lower case, and was bored with the toys that just...
review »The Leap Frog Word Whammer Fridge Phonics set helped my daughters learn all their uppercase and lowercase letters and their sounds. We actually purchased this set, the original Fridge Phonics set, and the lowercase letters set. All of them have been on our fridge for a year now and we have not lost even one! I find the magnets to be strong enough to keep them on the fridge pretty good. I sometimes get annoyed by toys that make noise but this one isn't too annoying for me. The voice is always encouraging and it isn't one of those 'annoying' toys with sound. All the pieces are heavy-duty plastic and if you were...
review »I like that this toy has 3 levels of play, which keeps children coming back to play with it. It encourages children to learn the letter sounds, not just the letters, which isn't some thing alot of toys do. We've had this for over a year now, and my daughter still loves to play with it, however quite a few of the magnets are missing (maybe under the fridge?).
I absolutely love this toy, one it is vey sturdy, very engaging, keeps 1, 3 and 5 yr. old busy. very good for phonics and word formation for 5 yr. old, for 3 yr. old letter recgonition, for 1 yr. old just the sounf and vision.
