My wife and I started purchasing Leap Frog products when our daughter, who is now 6, was a baby.  We have found the Leap Frog products to be very educational and fun learning tools.  We purchased the Letter Factory DVD for our daughter when she was around 18 months. She mastered her alphabet in no time. A year or so later, we purchased the Talking Words DVD. She was able to spell and read at an early age. She is in first grade now and can read with ease.  We now have a 3 year old who loves these DVDs.  He is now starting to understand the basic word concepts and loves reading as well.

I did not expect this dvd to teach my son as much as it did about letters! It really helped him to learn which sounds each letter makes. The cartoon makes a song out of it and makes it very fun for kids. When practicing with my son if he got confused on a letter I would sing the song from the dvd..."Every letter makes a sound T says..." and he would remember from the cartoon and finish. It was really amazing! I definitely recommend this dvd for anyone with a child in the process of learning their letters and the sounds they make. Leap from puts out quality learning materials and "Letter Factory"... review »

This is one of the most entertaining learning DVD's that I have seen yet. My daughter loved it and learned alot from this. She would even sing the catchy tunes that was in it which also helped with learning. It makes the alphabet fun and silly which makes for a more interested kid. I bet my daughter watched this at least 50 times. She is now in the 1st grade and still pops it in every once in awhile even though she has know her alphabet for almost 3 years now.

We bought this or our 3 yr old and he loved it.  Now he is 5 and loves to read  His little sister watched it with him and learned her letters so quickly.  The phonics it teaches really helped both of them to read early.  I am not a fan of letting them watch tv, but when they earn tv time this is a great video.  They think they are just getting tv time and I know that they are learning too.

This is a fabulous tool for teaching letter sounds to children!  i have always tried to teach using the sound the letter makes first before the letter name.  This video does a great job in a way the kids remember!  My son wattched this every day.  Even when it was on and he was just playing he was still absorbing it.  I have reccommended this successfully to several people.  It was recommended to me!

This video is the best there is. Kids love it, and it is completly educational. Friends and teachers are amazed at how my 6 year old reads at a third grade level. This is because of his foundation starting with this video and mastering his phonics by the time he was 3 1/2.

This video is presented in a very entertaining and engaging way for your kids to learn letters, their letter sounds or phonics, and listening skills.  As with all LeapFrog products, The Letter Factory is very educational. It takes the LeapFrog characters, Leap, Lily, and Tad on a wild adventure through the letter factory.  Leap and his friends meet Professor Quigley who is a wacky tour guide.

As each letter is introduced, the letter has to learn their sound.  Tad joins J's jumping on trampolines and K's practicing karate kicks.  The O's swing from vines in their room in the factory and the...

The Leap Frog dvd "The Letter Factory" is one of the best elarning tools for phonics that I have used.  My husband and I gave it to out daughter for her third birthday.  She wants to watch it three or more times a day.  She has had it a little over a week and she can already tell you the sound that most of the letters say. She did already know her alphabet prior to watching this video.

We also have a 16 month old son who watches this video with her.  Not only is this one of the few videos he will watch practically to the end, but he is learning his alphabet and which letters make which sounds. ...

I bought the LeapFrog Letter Factory video to share with a friend who owns a daycare. When I put the video in the kids were mesmerized. They caught on immediately and started to chant along with the characters. I love that the video helps with phonics and makes visual connections for the kids. I was glad to see familiar characters on the video to some of the interactive toys we have at home. When the video was over the kids wanted me to play it over again. They watched it that first day about six times.

I have since brought the video to my home. I have two 5 year olds and two toddlers. My five...

I first bought Leap Frog Letter Factory for my daughter when she was two. I loved it so much I buy it for almost all the little ones birthday parties we attened It is fun to watch, keeps the keeps interested n watching it. It is so hard to get a little one to sit down for a whole movie. First time I put it in my little one sat and watched the whole thing. She was just signing and laughing. It was so hard to believe it was something she could learn from. Time they  spend on each letter is perfect for the little one's brains. My daughter knew all her letters after just a few times watching the movie....

Picked up this video for only $9 at Target and we have really been enjoying it.  My son (almost 3) has been asking to watch it twice every day and it's so pleasant that I'm not annoyed by it at all.  We also have the "Your Baby Can Read" DVD series from Usborne that he started with.  That series was more expensive ($80 for 4 or 5 DVDs) and more annoying for mom and dad but he loves it.  I'm thinking these two DVDs together will help his reading skills develop.  He recognizes all his letters and loves singing his alphabet.  I understand phonics is one of the easiest ways to teach reading. ...

This movie is great for little ones who are learning the alphabet.  It only took a few times of our 3 year old watching this and he knew all of the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make.....something we had been teaching for MONTHS.  Another bonus is that the songs, sounds, etc. all go along with the leapfrog learning toys like the word whammer, etc. The characters are all likeable in the movie and they move fast enough through the alphabet that they don't lose the childrens attention.  The animation is cute and fun.  The letters all involved in an activity having to do with the...

LeapFrog Letter Factory is awesome. My son loves singing along with the DVD and actually asks for it. He's three years old and knows all his letters and what sound they all make. This DVD has helped make it possible for him to be interested in reading and he brings me things and wants me to help him sound out words already!! I've never wanted to push my kids into education because I want them to love learning the way I do, not hate school and avoid schoolwork. LeapFrog makes it fun to learn and now my son has figured out that each putting all the letters' sounds together is what makes words....

I Bought this movie for my almost 3 year old daughter and she really loves it! It's got cute charectors and explains letter sounds in a way a child can understand well. After watching just a few times, my daughter runs around singing the songs and telling me what letters make what sounds. There is even a game in the extras that we like to play together. You pick which letter makes the 3 letter word complete. I love that it goes along with some of the Leapfrog letter toys like the Whammer and Lilly and Tad, so it makes her want to watch it even more since she has them.

This is an excellent movie for your young children. Before my daughter started school, i brought this so the she could grasp the concept of what school was going to be like. She looked at it everyday after nap time, and in  about a week or two she knew all of her ABC's, when she went to school, her teacher wasso impressed, she was the top of her class for the school year. I truly adore this tape. Its so educational, and it helps the kids out big time because they dont know that they are really learning, they just think that they are looking at a good kids movie.
