My son received the LeapFrog Learning Table as a christmas gift. He loves music so we thought it would be a big hit. And I imagine he will like it when he's older. He was just 6 months when he received it and it's tough for him to play with it. If we put it flat on the floor (without the legs), he tips over into it as he tries to play and, since the toy is hard plastic, this hurts and he doesn't like it. With the legs in, he can sit at the table but it's so high he can't play with it.
Now, at 8 months, he's just learning to stand and still needs to hold the table (I think this is called cruising) so he can't stand by the table to play it yet. My husband or I have to hold him up next to it. He does like the bright colors, the buttons and sounds but he struggles with it and gets frustrated.
I have seen older toddlers play with this and they love it. I think the toy is just "age mislabeled" at 6 months and up. It would be better to be for a one year old and older.
