My boys are 4 and 8. Like most brother, they have a love hate relationship. For the longest time, my older son having game-boys encouraged the hate in their relationship. They fought over this little game player all the time. But when my youngest was allowed to play, he would would get frustrated so easily because it was too advanced for him.

The Perfect Solution

Last Christmas we bought our 4 year old a Leapfrog Leapster and it was the perfect solution to our game-boy issues. Now the kids both have a portable game system at their own level. he can actually play the games, the buttons are larger, the motion is slower and the games are based on the shows he watches, like Dora, Diego and cars.

The Downside

The downside about having the Leapfrog Leapster is that it goes through batteries like water and buying the games get expensive, since they run $18 and up.

I have seen this & it is obvious that kids love it & it is educational too. I am wondering if there is an AC adapter that could be purchased to help with the battery issue...
