I bought this for my son because he really enjoyed playing his ds but all he ever talked about was "Mario" and "pokemon", and it started to worry me. I confiscated the ds (temporarily) and got him a few games with characters that I knew he loved hoping it would captivate his attention.
He was upset at first but once he started to play, he loved it! The games actually interact with him and help him or ask him questions in addition to the challenges and adventure games. He enjoys them much more than his ds now because of that. He learned phonics through the games, addition, and even how to draw!...
