This toy has a wide variety of books to chose from at all grade levels. We have had it 3 years and has been passes down. My 2 year old even loves it. This educational toy is a toy not only for kindergarteners and up, it is a toy for toddlers too. It is getting my toddler intersested in reading and a head start for school. It also has interactive games withing the pages that teach them math, science, colors, shapes and more. The only down fall to me is the pages not staying in place for the younger kids. But the pen has stayed attached and pages are pretty durable. Is a great starter toy for educational fun.

My daughter loves Leap Pad.  The games are fun to her and she learns a lot of information while palying them.  We can take the Leap Pad in the car or to an appointment and she always has something to do and learns while having fun! I do not mind her playing because I know it is educational and she is not just wasting her time.  The games are age appropriate and the characters are popular with the age range as well.

We bought a LeapFrog LeapPad for my daughter when she was three and she absolutely loved it.  She learned to use it on her own very quickly, and it wasn't long before she was reading simple words on her own.  The activities in the books are very easy for young children to use.  The stylus is just the right size and texture for small hands and is attached to the pad so it can't be lost.  The pad itself is a good size to fit in a child's lap.  LeapFrog provides a large variety of books and corresponding cartridges with different stories and learning activties.  This teaches children a good variety of reading skills, such as matching shapes or colors, spelling activities, finding repeat words and basic reading skills.  It also makes it fun for children, as they are less likely to get bored with the same old story over and over (though anyone with children knows that they often WANT to hear the same story over and over!). My daughter loved her LeapPad and learned a lot from it.  As a parent, I felt really good about giving her this product and letting her use it on her own.  Now that she is in school and is a straight A student, I have no doubt that the LeapPad helped her to set a good foundation for her future academics.

The LeapFrog LeapPad is a wonderful educational toy. My five year old loves playing with it and reading the books. This toy actually helped him to learn how to read. There are many different books that can be used with this device that my child does not get bored easily because there is such a wide variety of books to look at. It is a very sturdy toy and has held up to my rough son without ever giving us any trouble. My two year old also likes playing with it, so it is nice that it entertains her for awhile and it is educational. They can play games or read the stories. The child will also learn colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet, and phonics. I love that it reinforces what I have already taught my children or it reminds me of what I still need to teach them. I would definately recommend this product as it is educational and my children do not even realize that they are learning while they are playing.

Leap Frog is one of our favorite brands of toys to have around our house and the Leap Frog Leappad is no exception. The Leappad concept is this...A pad that takes cartridges and books. The pad has a pen that recognzes various areas of the books and can be used to play games, learn letters, answer questions or have a story read to you. The books range from preschool level up to grade school. We have had two leap pads for almost 6 years now and they have never given us any trouble. Three children have used them (roughly at times!) and they have withstood that use. I love that all of the books that we have in our collection (at least 20) are very educational. Just yesterday, my four year old was able to use an Alphabet Adventure one that will ulimately help her to learn all of her ABCs. She loves that she can use something electronic so independently and I love that it is teaching her something while she is using it. I would highly recommend the LeapPad system to anyone who might be looking for fun/educational toys for their children.

we bought alot of these helped our children in many ways and they loved to play with it and eventually read along with it.the leap pad is highly recomebded by us. we bought them up till they were8.even if 2 or 3 good will get them on the right track in  reading.

Both of my boys got Leap Frog Leap Pads a couple of years ago, and they were GREAT!  I loved the variety of books available and how much my boys learned from them. They could play with them for hours on end!  Both of them are very good readers and I think this product helped.

It's a good addition for homeschooling, and it's portable, but it doesn't replace a computer with good educational programs. The books are high in price, but you can get around that by shopping at discount stores, or shopping sales on their website. It's something different for my six year old to do when she's not on her computer.

We have 5 children. Did not have this toy for the oldest , but the youngest 4 have used this toy often. It is both entertaining and educational. Have replaced it once, but after all the use it received, it was due to wear out ! The books are more than just stories. They contain educational games as well. There are many different titles available. The toys is useable by a child for many years at there are books appropriate for preschoolers as well as upper elementary ages.
