See and Say ABC's in the Kitchen for My Kids

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Over the past few months I noticed every time we went to someone's house for a visit, the first thing my almost three year old daughter did was head straight to the fridge to play with the Leap Frog Fridge Phonics **Magnetic Alphabet. ** During a recent dinner with friends I said I was just going to have to put this on my shopping list because she loved it so much and a few minutes later I was given an Santa wrapped gift!  Apparently they got 2 of them for Christmas so just kept it for a special event. They decided my daughter's love of this learning toy was that event!

The** Leap Frog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Alphabet ** is a small magnetic toy into which ...

A terrific learning toy that grows with your child

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I purchased the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set when my son was just a toddler.  He is now six years old and technically would still be using this toy if we hadn't upgraded to the LeapFrog Fridge Words Magnetic Word Builder.  Both my son and my daughter (age four) grew up with the Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set and I attribute much of their knowledge of the alphabet to this product.

The Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set is a must-have for any household with young children and is fast becoming (or may have already become) a classic toy.  Just about every parent that I know has one of these and it's a rarity when we vi...

LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Keeps him busy

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My 17 month old son just got this for Christmas and it was a purchase that I am glad that I made because he absolutely loves it.  This was the first present that he opened and he didn't even want to bother with any of his other presents.  I think that everytime he walks by the fridge he is always putting a letter in it.  I love that it teaches not only the letters but also the sounds that they make as well.  It has a nice jingle to it.  I often find myself with the song stuck in my head as I am picking the pieces up.  I do worry about having to keep up with all the letters because he does carry them out of the kitchen sometimes.  It is easy for him to use which I was worried about at first but he definately had no problems using it at all.  I definately think that this is a must have for everychild as it will help them learn their letters and the sounds at their own pace.  So don't hesitate on buying this toy for your child!

leapfrog fridge phonics

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Leap Frog Fridge Phonics is one great toy. This toy is great for learning all the sounds the letters make. But because i didnt want him in the kitchen alone at times i purchased an 8 dollar magnetic board for his room . I think this way he spends more time using the leapfrog frog. The Fridge Phonics had made learning letters fun and creative way to learn. When the letter is place in the house it says the letter and the sound it makes . the voice is good to listen to and very clear . It is appealing and makes the child want to repeat what is said.It could be mounted on the wall if needed. all of the leap from toys for a boy are in the green and he knows they are his and can spot them in the store easily. We have owned leapfrog fridge phonics for at least 8 months and only have used one set of batteries and they are still running. Leapfrog is one of my favorite companies. At leapfrog.com you can see what new toys they have.

This is a much loved toy at our house.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My two and half year old daughter received this LeapFrog toy for Christmas, and she plays with it daily.

It's on our door and isn't loud enough to be annoying. The only negative (and this doesn't really count) is that the magnetic letters often get scattered around our our house. However my daughter doesn't have any problem picking them up when we ask her, unlike several other toys.

This toy teaches letter recognition and letter sounds. It also helps develop motor skills (the letters have to be put into the "reader" the correct way.

My seven year old daughter also plays with it (she just spells words out). She "teaches" her younger sister letters and they play cooperatively.

My husba...

Helped my daughter learn her ABC's!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I first saw this at my sister-in-law's house.  My daughter ALWAYS wanted to play with it when we were there.  I also noticed that my niece--who is one year older than my daughter--was learning well from this and singing the song constantly.

I decided to buy one for my daughter and she loved it.  It really helped her learn her letters.

Con:  The letters all over drove me CRAZY!  (I hate clutter)  I finally put it away in a bag and it is now a toy we get out when we want to play with, then clean it all up.  Before I did that though, we lost a letter and it happened to be the first letter of her name!

One thing I really like about this toy is that it...

Great learning toy

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

The kids love this toy, they play with it all the time and I feel good about them playing with it because it is not only teaching them letters but the sounds they make. It is a great design and easy for even the 16 month old to use. While I love this toy, it is also one of the most annoying toys as well. Just like any kid magnet toy the magnets end up all over the floor and all over the house. We lost so many letters that I ended up buying a different one and storing it in a box, we bring it out to play and put all the pieces back in the box when done. We have also branched out and got the word building one that will build short words. It was a great investment. If you get any of the leap frog movies they sing the same songs in the same way as the toys, again somewhat annoying, but at the same time very educational. I would buy this again and buy it as gifts for kids about the age of 2. It is a wonderful toy.

Fridge Phonics is a favorite at our house!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My daughter received the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics set when she was 2. She loved it, and played with it often. Now she is six years old and has a three year old brother. The Fridge Phonics magnetic letter set is still used almost daily at our home! The kids love to put letter in it and hear the song, and it helped both kids to identify the letters and learn the sounds they make. It has two volume levels, which I appreciate, though I think it is still far too loud. I originally placed a piece of clear plastic packing tape over the speaker part to muffle the sound a bit. The fridge phonics set has scratched my refrigerator a bit, but I figure small kids would have scratched it one way or another anyway. I love how easily I can clean the toy if needed. Batteries seem to last a long time. And kids of all ages use it when they come into our kitchen. Overall, it is a hit!

Great activity for the kids while you are in the kitchen!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The Leap Frog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set has been the best toy for the kitchen. My kids have liked this toy since they are little since they can take the letter off and stick the letter on the refrigerator or back on the Leap Frog board. Even though they can not spell yet, they love playing with the letters and saying the letters as they pull the letters on and off the frig. They love that it plays music and speaks and they love singing the ABC song. It is amazing how much entertainment this toy has brought. Any toy that has letters and sounds are a big hit with kids. Plus it is hands on and the kids can stick the letters back on the frig. My son is old enough now where he can spell his name and a couple simple words and he still plays with it. He loves to show his sister how he can spell and put the letter in order from ABC and so on. If you need something for the frig, this is the toy you should buy!

LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set GREAT PRODUCT!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We have had this product for about a year now and my kids love it.  I am the mother of twin 3 year olds.  When I am in the kitchen it keeps them occupied.  They know all their letters now and love the music and song it plays with every letter.  If you want you children to learn their letters in a fun way, this is the toy for them.  My son has learned that if he doesnt know what the letter is, he simply presses the letter into the holder and it will tell him.  He then removes the letter and presses the holder again to make the music stop if he doesnt want to hear the whole song.  My daughter also enjoys just pressing the button that sings the whole ABC's so that she can dance to the music.  This is definately a great toy that is fun and educational which is always a plus in my book.  We also have the farm fridge one that teaches animals.  I'm thinking about getting the one you can spell with as well because of how great they love this one.

Wonderful, Educational, and Fun!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

The LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set is a timeless toy!  We've had this set for all 3 of my children and all of them loved playing with it.  It's a great way to learn your letters and the sounds that they make.  I love that it will play the sound for the kids in a friendly way with a nifty song so that the kids can catch on to the letters quickly.  It's simple enough that my one year old can add the letters and press to hear the sounds.  Sometimes she has trouble pulling the magnets back off, but she is still a little young for this toy.  My older children  easily can pull the letters of to switch to different ones.  It also will sing the whole alphabet which is a nice touch.  As with LeapFrog toys, the Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter set is educational and fun at the same time.  I highly recommend the Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter set and all Leapfrog products to friends and I love giving these as gifts.

Leapfrog Fridge Phonics Magnet teach sounds and ABC's

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I bought the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set about 3 years ago.  My girls have played with it off and on throughout the years.  I think this is a toy that drives me crazy because it's hard to keep all the pieces together.  Right now, I have about 7 of the letters on my fridge, and the rest is who knows where.  That's the only negative thing I can think of concerning this toy, is that it's hard for us to keep track of all the letters.  We used to keep them in a zip-lock bag, but somehow that didn't last.  Toys that are hard for me to keep track of tend to frustrate me, so that's not really the toy's fault.  I do like that it teaches the alphabet,...

Scratched my fridge!

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

This was given to us as a Christmas gift, I though oh how cute I'll put them on the fridge!  My daughter preferred dragging them around the fridge more than putting them into the center to hear the letter.  Once she learned the music noted played a song she just kept pushing it driving me crazy while I was making dinner.

Not long after we put them on the fridge I noticed they were actually scratching my fridge!  Upon taking them off I noticed that we had a few letters missing, to this day they are still missing!  They also really hurt if you step on them in the dark!  The paint also scratches off the magnets, not flaking off but enough they look marked up.

I can't say that my daughter got anything out of it other than play time.  I am just not impressed with the Leapfrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set.  I wouldn't pay full price for them but if you find them for a couple dollars at a yard sale, then go for it.

LeapFrog Fridge Phonics

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This is one of the best toys out there.   How many times does your child want to be in the kitchen with you and you just want them to play so you can get it done.   Whenever my daugher wants to help I ask her to play the music and sing the number song with me.   She loves it.  She can place all the alphabet letters in the machine and sing along with it or just sign the alphabet song.  I love that it doesn't just teach the name of the letter but the sound as well.  It will keep long for various ages because of this and will help with learning how to read since it's phonics.  I also like how the magnetics are strong on the refrigerator.  T...

Every letter makes a sound....!

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

My sister purchased the LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set for my 3 year old son.  He loved it.  That song will never leave my brain.....ever.  The volume comes in two settings loud and louder.  It was fun to play with, but I'm not sure about the learning value.  Fast forward 2 years and we have about 9 of the letters left and no numbers and my son knows his letter sounds, but not from the magnet.  My daughter is learning her sounds from her brother, not from the 9 letters we have remaining.  It is a fun toy to play with for the song and to make something make noise--the best part for the little ones.  Don't buy this if you're looking for educational, or wait until they are reading ready.  But by then, they learn so fast, the need for this magnet will be obsolete.  It is annoying, but it is a great magnet for some of your heavier refridgerator items!  Every letter makes a sound, A says ah!
