This is a great way for kids to learn the sight and sound of letters.   I keep mine on the refrigerator at my son's height, so he sees them all the time.  We will go through all the letters and what they are and what sound they make, and when he stumbles, he puts it into the machine to hear the sound it makes.  It's awesome, and has been very helpful in teaching my son his letters.
