Leap Frog
Discovery Ball
The Discover Ball teaches letter names, letter sounds, musical awareness, and motor skills. It has colorful letters and lights up when playing. The sound can be turned to low or high. You can take the ball off the base for toddlers to roll on the floor; however, it is a little hard to remove. The Discovery Ball will grow with your baby.
About The Discover Ball~
Little ones have fun as they spin, bat, roll and learn. Press any letter on the ball to hear the letter name, letter sound, or one of 26 classic tunes. Then spin or roll the ball to hear the "ABC" song or one of three other melodies, while twinkling lights flash to the beat. The music stops when the ball stops, encouraging your little one to spin or roll repeatedly. Infants spin the Discovery Ball in its base; detach the ball from the base for toddlers to roll around. The recommended age is from 6-months to 5 years. It requires 3 AA batteries to operate.
My Viewpoint
My toddler just loves this toy. I bought the Discovery Ball for him because he loves the ABC song. He laughs and dances when he spins the ball. I took the ball off the base and he rolls it on the floor. The ball is not too heavy for a toddler to carry. When he gets older, this will be an excellent toy for learning the alphabet, letter sounds, and songs.
I would recommend the Discovery Ball for parents, grandparents, or childcare givers looking for a toy to amuse a baby or toddler. They will love all the songs and sounds. I give it 5 stars even though it is a little hard to remove the ball from the base; it is an excellent learning toy!
