I bought this toy for my 15 month old and have had it for a while and it is a hit. There are 3 or 4 different modes and they aren't as annoying as I was afraid it would be. My kids (yes, my 4 year old as well) love to turn on the musical medely mode and dance to the large variety of classical songs. It's really a great toy, not loud and abnoxious and a good travel toy.
