Sometimes you have to venture into the not-so-familiar and take a chance, even if it is to try something billed by Stouffer's as a "Comfort Classic".  While I was familiar with lasagna, Lean Cuisine Cheese Lasagna with Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Scaloppini was something new.  I had no idea what "scaloppini" meant but, whatever it is, I can recommend it now.  The meat was nice and tender, the sauce flavorful, and the pasta was perfection.

STATS:

The contents of a 10 oz. package is one serving which contains 280 calories with 70 calories from fat.  There are eight grams total fat, two grams saturated fat, zero trans fat, two grams polyunsaturated fat, two and a half grams monounsaturated fat, 30 mg. cholesterol, 580 mg. sodium, 660 mg. potassium, 34 grams total carbs, five grams dietary fiber, eight grams sugars, and 19 grams protein.  Add to all that 10% (D.V.) each Vitamin A and Vitamin C, 15% Calcium, and 8% Iron.

TASTE TIP:

I loved this dish but even more so after I sprinkled it judiciously with extra grated Parmesan and finished with a Yoplait Whip! in the Key Lime flavor for dessert.

I don't see how you guys can either get enough out of those little meals when you share like that. You would almost each need an entree of your own!

My dog is starting to expect MORE than I eat. He wants it all and doesn't want to share. Oh well, he keeps me on my diet. :)

Oh yah, we really like your reviews and ideas!

LOL! Yep, can see where that may be the thought, especially with the title! But I was talking about adding the parm cheese. It is funny what people enjoy in reviews, like from me a recipe or ways to get a free sample or coupon of the product.

Hey, Lisa! I read my review again and went back in and reworded it. I just wanted to make sure that people understood I had the Yoplait Whip FOR DESSERT and not on top of the Lean Cuisine thing! YECH!

You're just the sweetest person, Patty. I'm thinking now of you and your little dog each having a taste of this one! I'm not sure if there would be enough chicken for you both but it would be INTERESTING!!!

You know, after my Mom died when I was nine, my Dad was one of the people who taught me how to cook and he was always figuring out little touches like that. Back then, he was the only one I knew who added a dash of cinnamon when he cooked chocolate fudge. (You couldn't taste the cinnamon itself but it enhanced the taste of the chocolate.) I always try to include something about how I use a product because it seems like people like that more than anything else about my reviews!!! Which may not say a lot for my reviews!!!!!! Haha! No kidding though, I've gotten spoiled when it comes to just heating stuff up, especially if I hit a whole nest of them at a sale. How are you doing, Lisa?

I always get hungry when I read your reviews!

you can always make it just a little better with your own touches can't you? or maybe just erases the guilt of eating so easy.
