Probably only here in America could someone have come up with a Southwestern-type pizza such as Lean Cuisine Brick Oven Style BBQ-Recipe Chicken Pizza.  It took a little getting used to (and I must admit that I will probably always be partial to traditional Italian-style pizza) but this newer version is also delicious and serves up a nice assortment of ingredients including white meat chicken, red onions and cilantro, both Mozzarella and Cheddar cheese, and tangy barbeque sauce.  This is pizza with a nice little TWANG to it.

The contents of this 6 oz. package is considered to be one serving which contains 350 calories with 70 calories from fat.  There are eight grams total fat, two and a half grams saturated fat, zero trans fat, two and a half grams polyunsaturated and one and a half grams monounsaturated fats, 20 mg. cholesterol, 620 mg. sodium, 240 mg. potassium, 50 grams total carbs, two grams dietary fiber, ten grams sugars, and 19 grams protein in addition to 40% (D.V.) Vitamin A, 10% Vitamin C, 25% Calcium, and 15% Iron.

TASTE TIP:

This was a really satisfying lunch which I finished off with a dish of chilled crushed pineapple packed in juice.

Ok, there's no meat but there's no tofu product either in the one I have in mind. Try the frozen pizza Celeste for one, Vegetable. It has of course sauce and cheese AND green & red peppers (bell), onions and olives. Very tasty. I think you'd like it, Anna. I'll be writing a review about it soon.

Great review, but with my secret recipe I can't bring myself to eat anyone else's BBQ chicken pizza -- the family loves it, I have to make 3 of them if the kid is home from college! :-)

No, I know Ron is trying to egg me into it and I am just having a problem getting a mental handle on the idea.

Had some veggie pizza today. Barbecue pizza sounds good. But pineapple on top? Still haven't been able to work up the nerve to try that one. Have you trie it, Anna?

Papa John's has a pizza that includes all your ingredients here....take that crushed pineapple you had for dessert and put it on the pizza! They call it Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Pizza and my son and I love it! ;)
