Law Student loans are always like swords hanging on one’s head till they are paid in full.  My condition was as deplorable as it could be.  Had it not been for Harrison Barnes and LawCrossing, I would have not seen the light of the day today.

I got enrolled as a law student for Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and my father took a loan of about $100,000 to cover my overall expenses.  I had resolved to pay off the entire debt within a year or two, as I was to get graduated from one of the best 50 law schools in the US.  I had expected to land up with a good package of more than $100k after I complete my graduation as I was good in my studies.  But this year, when I passed out of college, I wasn’t ready for the rude shock that was in store for me.

I passed out in flying colors with a GPA of 3.15, but the recession had hit the firms hard enough to make most of them apprehensive of further hiring.  Also, the practice area which I graduated in — corporate mergers and acquisitions — was spilling over with applications of several students, and I thought that I had a remote chance of landing a job, let alone a $100K job.  My situation was getting pathetic with the passing weeks, as the interest of the loan was burdening my father and his meager income.

One fine day, one of my friends introduced me to LawCrossing, and I bless him for that.  After that, what transpired brought the course of my life back to track.  This 72nd ranked company (in the list of Inc. 500 companies) formed by Harrison Barnes, proved to be a blessing for me.  I was apprehensive of joining yet another job board and wondered if this was any different from any of my earlier experiences with job boards, which did not bear any fruit.  But I was wrong.

I found many job listings on LawCrossing which did not feature in top job boards like Monster and CareerBuilder.  I was surprised that there were three jobs related to my domain near my residence and what’s more when I applied to them, I got offers from all the three, and one of them even offered me a package of around $120,000.  I landed a wonderful job as a corporate attorney just fifteen minutes away from my house.  I am thankful of LawCrossing and Harrison Barnes of giving me and my family a fresh lease of life and a new hope for my career.
