I love to read. However i am more into soft romance, historical romance, afterall i am 50 yrs of age. Then one day my daughter gave me a Laurell K Hamilton book to read. That was all it took.

Bloody Bones is a story of power, sex, action, fantasy. It ahs everything one would want in a book to keep you interested page after page.

Whats more is once you read Bloody Bones, omg you cant stop there.  You have to read all of the Anita Blake stories. each after the other taking you into a world that Laurel makes so real and so inticing.

The book is strong, has humor and will get you hooked no matter what...

Bloody bones, for me, was one of the best Anita Blake series books, aside from Guilty Pleasures. In this book, Richard really gets to show off his power: in the bed and out. He's a very strong character and at this point, hasn't been written as some emotionally injured pansy who can't controls his actions or words. In this book, he's Richard and he's able to show his beat without Anita freaking out much. Anita is also new with the Ardour so things that she starts to do here is very new and not the usual for that appetite. So it's still interesting and not just "Oh here she is, getting her... read full review »

Anita Blake, necromancer, zombie raiser and vampire "executioner". In book 5, Anita is dating two "monsters" as she would call them. Boy her views have changed, and  you will see more of this throughout the book! In many ways.

Anita is asked to go to the mountains near Bransom, to try and raise a huge unmarked grave site where a millionaire wants to build a resort. The land is in dispute between two families, the Kelly's and the Bouvier's because a family plot is said to be buried there, but they're not sure. They're asking Anita to raise the dead and ask who they are so they can resolve who's...

This is book four in the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. And it's still early enough in the series that she's not just sleeping with every single person.

It's got the action of the first three books and just enough heat from the romance to stir up the emotions without staging a hostile takeover on the storyline.

Anita Blake, Jean Claude, fae and a crazy buisness man. It's a crazy story that's worth anyone who's a true fan of the series time. If you're new to the series, I suggest the first three books to get the feel for it.

Bloody Bones is part of the Anita Blake, vampire hunter, series.  It involves Anita with a vampire serial killer, fairies, and her own past baggage.  It is not the best book in the series, but like them all it is a good, entertaining read.

I like Hamilton for making Anita a real person with real problems, unlike Buffy, vampire slayer.  The whole futuristic time holds together surprising well throughout the series.  All the main characters grow and develop.  Anita makes me want to be a better me.

I have always been a fan of fantasy novels, not romance but real sci-fi/fantasy. This series is amazing! Why aren't the rest of her books here? All I can say is if you haven't read this book then you need to. Run out buy the first book: 'Guilty Pleasures' and go from there. By the time you get through the first one you'll be hooked. By the time you get to this one... You will be ready to fight by Anita's side and kick some vampire but or.... Maybe let yourself be seduced by one....
