Overall, this is a godsend! Who doesn't want longer lashes!? There is only so much a great mascara can do! And false lashes? No thanks. The only reason I am not giving this product a 10 is because I have had a couple side effects. Minor, but nonetheless a tad annoying. First bring redness around my eyes, second a burning sensation on my lids. In the grand scheme of things.. No big deal, not it has kept me from saying latisse is perfect. a lot of people take 8-plus weeks to see results. I was lucky and had a friend ask if my lashes were fake after only 3 weeks is use. Crazy. At 8 weeks, they started looking kinda crazy--not gonna lie. The length was very uneven. I was concerned. But by 10-12 weeks, they were PERFECTION. I used to have short, stubby lashes. Now? Long, thick, DARKER, beautiful ones. I even feel I could give up mascara (and that's saying something!), they are night and day compared to pre-latisse.

This has got to be the best invention since peanut butter! I use to have long and lush eye lashes and then age started! By the time I reached my late 40's, early 50's, my lashes had literally been put through the ringer. Then my Dr suggested Latisse. It has been a Godsend!! I am back to my long lush lashes and then some! I would definately recommend ladies speak to their doc's about this stuff. I have twice the lashes as well as twice the length I had prior to using it. I experience NO ill affects from it, and continue to use it! I absolutely LOVE Latisse!

Latisse definitely works, but honestly, ask your doctor for the generic: Lumigan, Bimatoprost Opthalmic Solution Eye Drop, -0.03% 3 ml (Careprost ) Generic. It works just as well, and it's a fraction of the cost. Forget the applicators, too. Use a fine eyeliner brush to apply this and your product will last twice as long. The applicators they give you waste product - most of it either gets wiped off (it runs down your face) or gets thrown out with the brush. Also, this isn't an "instant gratification" product. It takes time to see results, and just isn't like popping on a pair of fake lashes - You have to give the lashes a chance to grow, and you have to be consistent in your application. That means applying the product to freshly cleaned skin *every* night. You do see results after a month of use, and a major improvement after 16 weeks.

I was given this product by a friend (she had received it as a gift and couldn't use it because she was pregnant). She gave it to me in April of 2009 and I started using it right away. I used it as directed and I definitely saw results. My lashes were long before, but few and far between (at least I thought so). Latisse caused my lashes to be fuller, which really helped me out. No longer did i have to put on fake lashes for special occasions. There was one thing that did worry me after I started hearing about possible side effects: staining eye lids. Fortunately, this did not happen to me, but now I have seen the new commercial and they are warning of possible eye pigment darkening1 That seems a bit extreme. Luckily, I didn't have any unpleasant side effects from Latisse, but if I had known it was a possibility back when I used it, I probably would have thought twice before giving it a try. I was also happy that the liquid seemed to go farther than anticipated, but it was kind of annoying to try to get more applicators.

Latisse is a prescription product used to grow and enhance your own natural eyelashes. Latisse is applied once a day, before bed with one of the sterile applicators included in the package. One drop is applied to the applicator and then the applicator (like a paintbrush) is applied to the base of the eyelashes. I have been using Latisse for several months now and I am still undecided on whether this product is worth the money. There has been definite improvement in the length of my lashes but not so much in the thickness. I have also experienced numerous side effects. The first time I tried to use it my eyelids became extremely itchy and I had to discontinue using it. I tried again a few months later and have not had the itching. I do have eyelashes that are not all the same length and grow in different directions. I also have the discoloration of the eyelids. I also find hairs growing underneath my eyes and in other spots where the solution may have been spread to while sleeping. At this point, I would say that the side effects outweigh the benefits!

I have been using Latisse for six months and I am an addict!  I first started noticing results in about 4 wks but the most dramatic didn't occur until about 8 wks.  My lashes are about double the length that they were originally.  I have actually even had to trim them at times.  I have noticed a slight improvement in volume but definitely not as much as I have seen in lash length.  I tend to use volumizing mascaras which do the job for the most part. Before starting on Latisse I had read about possible side effects.  After speaking with my dermatologist I felt good about my decision to begin Latisse.  The only issue that I have noticed is a slight pink tinge at my lash line.  It is barely noticeable, and not at all with makeup.  This is not permanent and will resolve when Latisse is discontinued. I can't imagine a time where I would not use Latisse.  As I mentioned aboe, I am an addict!  I get compliments all of the time, but I don't always reveal my secret :-)

I have borderline high eye pressure.  My doctor prescribed Xalatan to lower my eye pressure and prevent glaucoma which would lead to irreversible loss of sight.  One of the side effects of using this medication are long, thick lashes.  Side effects can include increased brown iris pigmentation which can be permanent, darkening of the eyelid or area under the eye, and redness on the eyelids.  Loss of fat tissue around the eye area has also been reported.  Xalatan contains Latanoprost Opthalmic Solution.  Latisse contains Bimatoprost Opthalmic Solution.  Both are treatments for Glaucoma; and both have similar side effects.  The difference is that Xalatan is dropped into the eye; and Latisse is used on the lashes. I am writing this, not to discourage using Latisse if it has been prescribed to you and your doctor has no issues with it; but to enlighten you to the fact that this is medication that was originally developed for Glaucoma -- not beauty enhancement and should be used carefully and according to the instructions given to you by your doctor and on the package directions. I will say that yes, use of Xalatan has definitely lengthened and thickened my lashes...and lowered my eye pressure. although my eye lashes did get somewhat longer, the upper lids started turning brown... looked like i had a bad night or minor black eyes.  i didn't want to believe it was the Latisse,   I finally stopped using it after my acupuncturist stated her concerns.  fortunately, after 2 months, lids are about back to normal.  i choose short and thin lashes (post chemo) over panda bear looking eyes.  buyer beware.  STop at the FIRST sign of something going wrong.
