No more frostbite worry; I'm loving the Lasko Tower Heater!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My family lives in Michigan and we have a family room that is built on a slab so it can get pretty cold in that room during our long, cold winter months. There are only two heating vents and both are located in the same area of the room. Needless to say, the vent situation is not ideal so the family room is usually the last resort for a gathering place inside of our home.

We had a couple of space heaters that we used since moving here five years ago but for one reason or another (mostly because they didn't work!) they eventually needed to be replaced. So this time I took it upon myself to purchase a new heater instead of letting my husband do it. He has always been the one to "find" our...

Heats a small room really well.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I live in an old house that isn't very well insulated, so it gets really cold inside during the winter months. It's too expensive to run the furnace to keep the whole house warm, so we keep the thermostat turned down so we aren't paying to heat rooms we don't use, then we use space heaters in the bedroom at night.

I chose the Lasko Ceramic Tower Heater mostly based on looks- I wanted something that didn't take up a lot of space. This one can sit right alongside my dresser and isn't in the way at all. I also love that it has a remote control, so if I get too cold or warm during the night, I don't have to get up to adjust the temperature.

The noise level is perfect for me because I like to h...

The Lasko 751320 Ceramic Tower Heater with Remote control is a cute little heater that does the job of heating one room. I use it my office and set it about four feet away from my chair. This way the rest of the house stays an even temperature and the heater heats up the office a little bit warmer so that I don't freeze while I am sitting still. I call it my R2D2 because it looks like a little robot with personality. And, I will move it around with me from my chair to my desk. (The direct heat really only goes out about four feet, but it will warm up the room after a while and if the door to the room is closed.) It is not annoying loud, but it does get dirty and it does need to be taken apart and cleaned very once in a while.

I live in northern California and only need a heater at night in my bedroom for a few months out of the year. My bedroom is fairly large (20x 14) and has high ceilings, so it can be a little difficult to heat. In the past I have used a ceramic heater but with much of a fan (or perhaps no fan, because it was extremely quiet). I bought this one because of the remote (so I can turn it on without getting out of bed) and the generally good reviews. I have no problem with the amount of heat it produces, but I like a very quiet bedroom and this heater has a fan which is pretty loud. It also oscillates, which perhaps adds to the noise. If you like a very quiet heater, this heater may not be the best for you, but if a little fan noise does not bother you, the remote control, oscillating base and good quality heat may make this heater a good choice for you. I purchased it online for about $40, which also makes it a good bargain.

*I really like that this heater has a remote control. Batteris comes in the box with heater. I can turn the lasco heater on or off with out getting up. you have built in safety features, self regulating ceramic elements. If also has a automatic overheat protections. It very quiet, you have high avd low heat. Auto thermostat control. Comes fully assembled. This heater works best in a small to medium sized room . Its a 1500-watt electric, for use with a standard household 120 volt receptacles only. Has a three year warranty. This heater is hot when in use. So you want to be careful. Not good to use in bathrooms laundry areas or other similar location. The Lasko remote control ceramic tower hea...

Warmed great

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My sister has this heater in her guest room which happens to be in the basement. It's a great heater and I really loved the fact that she had it there as it got pretty cool at night in her house. I only have one complaint. The remote was essentially pointless. You couldn't see what temperature you were changing it to because the temp is on the top. If it had been on the front, or on the remote it would have been much easier. However it warmed the large room well, and kept it comfortable once we figured out what to set it at. I don't really have a room that needs one right now, but if I did need to get one I'd probably go for this one. My mother has one in her guest room as well and it doesn't work this well, it gets too hot or too cold easily. I enjoyed this heater.

The best around!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I use this heater when I work in the basement knitting sweaters for my cats, and boyfriend.  It gets cold down there, and I need a little extra heat.  I got this one as a surprise from my boyfriend.  He knew that I was chilly  when I was knitting, and if I was chilly, it took longer for him to get his sweater, haha, which is probably why he did it.  But I have to say, this was a good choice that he made.  It heats the room up really fast, and it's so quiet!! Like I forget it's there sometimes.  My cats all hang around in front of it, when they sit downstairs with me, so they can keep warm.  I don't think I could have asked for a better heater.  The Lasko 751320 Ceramic Tower Heater is the best!!  If you're looking for something to heat a room, this would be the product to pick.  I would reccomend it to everyone I know.  If you're in the market for a space heater, go out, and buy this one ASAP!

My Lasko heater with remote is great for my needs!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

My husband and I live in a small house, built in the 1950s. It's not the most well insulated house and we're not able to invest a lot in to it because it is a rental. We have been hunting for a few years for a good solution to our high heating bills during the winter.

I got a recommendation from a friend to look into getting a space heater and using it to only heat the rooms that I am in, and then turning the house down as low as I want. So far this has been an amazing idea! The heater is small and unobtrisive, our animals hardly even notice it's there. The remote control is super handy to have so that we don't need to get up to adjust the temperature. I love the digital readout, it's easy ...

Lasko Tower Heater with Remote gives me the warm fuzzies!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I received the Lasko Oscillating Tower Heater with Remote for my (January) birthday a few years back, and it's one of the most appreciated and most used gifts I've ever been given! It's so very convenient, because the last thing I want to do when I'm cold is get up to adjust the heat! I love the remote feature so I can stay where it's warm (be it on the couch or in bed) and adjust the temperature at the touch of a button.

It's very quiet and heats well, and quickly. We turn our furnace off at night to save money on utilities and use this wonderful little heater to keep our bedroom cozy. I also like that there's a thermostat setting, rather than options for only high or low--even with a remo...

AWFUL

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I absolutely hated this heater, however it did provide decent heat when it worked.  The one that i had sparked and burnt the cord and part of the outlet.  When the manufacture was contacted they had nothing to say except to return it to the store , which  i promptly  did.

I love my Lasko Ceramic heater on cool evenings.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

This heater is perfect for heating just one room (or part of a large room). We tend to keep our central heat on 62 in the winter to keep costs down. During the day when we are working we just put on extra clothes to stay warm. But, in the evenings when we want to sit down and watch a movie or play a game we can get too chilly. That's where our Lasko Ceramic heater comes into play. We will turn on this little gem to warm us up. It's also good for when company comes over. Most of our friends think our house is just too cold. With this heater we can make our friends more comfortable without having to heat the whole house. As for noise, after a few minutes of having it on I don't even notice it. It's compact size makes it easy to tuck into a closet when not in use, and when the heat went out at my husband's office, we just packed the Lasko into the car with him and he was able to stay comfortable at work. If this heater ever goes out, we will buy another one right away!

You gotta have this Space Heater - Lasko 5132

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We live in an old house, that has very poor insulation.  Our heating bills were killing us, so we picked up a couple of these to save money.  We use one in our tv/den area, and the other in our bedroom.

These things work great.  Not your parents old space heater.  These are really efficient.  It has a digital thermostat, and it even has a remote.  So, while we are on the couch, watching tv, we can just grab the remote and turn the heater on when we get cold.  It really heats up the room well!  Our electric bill only went up about $20 a month, but our gas bill went down quite a bit (our heating is gas).  For the cost savings, you can't beat it.  BUT, it even warms our room a LOT faster than using our house heat!

We have left it on over night, and had no problems.  It's really safe, and doesn't look tacky when we have company over and they see it in the corner of the room.  Try it, and you'll be like us and not want to go without it!

Great space heater

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I bought the Lasko 5132 Ceramic Tower Heater a couple years ago for my bedroom. I love it. It heats the space quickly and very well. I keep the door closed when I am running it, as to not let the heat escape. I purchased this based on price and the remote. This is the first space heater I had ever bought and I'm so glad I purchased one with the remote. I will not purchase one without a remote in the future. It's awesome to be able to turn it on or off without having to get up. I also like the options of being able to set a temperature on it or set a time for it. If you set it for a temperature it shuts off once the desired temperature is reached. I also enjoy that it is ossilating, as to not...

keeps me warm in the winter, beat running the apt. heater

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I purchased this heater about 2 months ago, it has done a great job heating my apartment. I live in a two bedroom apt. by myself so I dont need to heat the whole unit when I am in only one room at a given time. Lower my power bill from a 100 dollar to 60. the unit only cost 45 dollars at Wal mart, it has paid for itself in less than one month. This heater is able to swivel about 60 degrees, it has to heat setting high or low, 8hr timer, it even comes with a remote for you lazy people out there. It acutely tells you the temperature in the room an will heat any room to 75C. I am satisfied with my purchase.

Most Sensible, safest and reliable space heater I've owned

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

For many years my Kitchen would get so cold at night, I constantly worried aboutthe pipes freezing.  Our Heating system was old and never really seemed to warm the house.  So about 4 years ago my husband and I agreed upon the **Lasko Heater - Ceramic Tower Heater to help us with this problem.  **

On cold nights we would set the thermostat to 55 degrees so it would only come on in the coldest of situations.  In the morning, we would set it to 70 degrees to help bring up the temperature in the house so the main heater wouldn't run all the time.  We keep the main unitat 68 degrees. The **Lasko Heater - Ceramic Tower Heater saved us from worrying all night.  No...
