I bought this to use in my room for the winter since down here in TX we rarely experience prolonged Winter. I can truly say it's a lifesaver for the brief December and January months. I usually set my main thermostat at 60 so this comes in quite handy for my room. Once I closed the door and turn this puppy on, the temp rises quickly. I loved the sleek design, especially the slot holder for the remote (nicely placed). The remote is great to work with as with all the settings layout. The heater while not as quiet as my other ceramic, is also not a lawn mower by any mean, the noise should not be a bother at all. Overall, it's definitely a great buy, especially for a small room or basement area. I would definitely recommend this!

My husband and I like to keep our thermostat low to save on heating costs in the winter. We have had a small space heater for awhile now, but it was not really heating our large living room sufficiently so we decided to try this larger space heater. First of all, I like the size and shape because it is tall and slim so it does not take up much floor space. The thermostat seems accurate because it always has the correct current room temperature displayed when we first turn it on. One thing I noticed right away was the quietness of this heater. You can hear it, of course, but it is much less noticeable than other space heaters we have owned. The touch controls are very responsive and easy to use and the remote control is handy so we don't have to get up to adjust it all the time. But most importantly, it puts out a lot of heat! We noticed a difference in this and our old heater the first night we used it and have not regretted buying this heater.
