With the rising prices of fuel oil, natural gas, propane and electricity, I was looking for a more economical way to heat my bedroom. I bought a Lasko large room ceramic heater at Walmart for $70. It really works well. It has an automatic mode where you set the desired temperature and it doesn't seem to run very long before it shuts itself off because it reached the temperature that you preset. I got my mini Lasko space heater 7 years ago at our local Wal-mart... I was living in a (not very well insulated) motor home at the time, up here in the White Mountains of Arizona. That winter saw many nights where the temperature dropped below zero...One night it was 16 degrees below zero! That little Lasko kept that old Winnebago, myself, and my dog, warm in those days.

The Lasko Digital Ceramic Heater 5355 was definitely worth the money (which wasn't unreasonable either). My husband and I payed $50 for this heater because we didn't want to freeze all winter. It requires a little assembly but nothing that an intelligent human being can't figure out, just a couple screws need to be put into place to attach the base to the heater.
