nWe live in the south and have high temps during most of the year. Our family loves this fan because it is very light and portable, yet does a good job at cooling down a room quickly. I also like to use it near a window to draw the hot air out of a room. This works much better than the old style box fans that continually fall out of the window. It is directional, so if I am getting a little chilled by having direct air blow on me, I can change the direction so my husband still stays cool. Air Flow Air flows nicely from this fan and cools the whole room. You can easily direct the air flow by simply shifting the direction of the fan. Ease of Use Easy to set up and use in any room in the house (and even outside on our deck). It is lightweight. Durability We have owned two of these fans for about 2 years and they are used constantly and are holding up well. No problems. Design Good design. Lightweight, portable, easy to direct air flow.

The Lasko stand up fan is a very good buy. I've had it since I was a young teen & I'm now almost 23. All the features still work. Goes to show if you take care of what you have, the right companies will take care of you. Air Flow Excellent air flow, whenever the air flow starts to get a little fogged I just clean the blades & it works like brand new again. Ease of Use It's extremely easy to use. To adjust the fan you just twist the handle on the pole & push the fan up or down as desired. It runs easily on rotation or on stand still. The button to use rotation or stand still is just a small push button. Push it out to change the setting, push it back in to change the setting back. Easy as that! Durability I've had this fan for a good 10 years now, it's not broken or damaged except for scuff marks. I'ts gone through over a dozen moves & has fallen many times. Design I really like the design, it's got a good air flow by the design of the blades & the fan grill. Looks good too, very sleek. Not tacky or ugly to place in a room by any means.

This is the best fan I've ever used. I live in Florida, so we need a fan that's actually going to keep the room cool, and this fan definitely does that. It's oscillating feature is perfect for the living room during the day, but at night it's nice to keep it right towards the bed. This allows us to save on air conditioning. I also love how the white noise it creates when it's on the high setting. I know that some people want a really quiet fan, so this fan might not be for you. Although it works just fine on the medium and low setting with very little noise. During the day we usually keep it on medium so that the noise doesn't interfere with conversations or watching TV, but at night the white noise drowns out any other noise from our neighbors, and the whooshing sound helps me sleep! Add to that how cool the room stays thanks to this fan, and I now can't imagine sleeping without it. It has already lasted for years, and still works as if its new. It's also very stable, even when my cat plays by it the fan has never fallen over. The best part is this fan is really affordable.

To tilt fan - just push fan blade cage up or down (when fan is off) easy to adjust fan from low 38 inches to high 54.5 inches Move only with fan off from one location to another by grabbing the plastic stand and the metal pole. Durability Plastic fan blades, fan blade cover and you insert the metal pole into a plastic stand. Easy to assemble Design It was easy to assemble - I used the directions.

I bought this last year for summer because where I live it gets to 110 degrees F over the summer.I would use this fan when i'm watching T.V or just eating dinner to cool me down.I have to say that the fan isn't that loud when it is on it's max level.This is really good product if you need a small cheap fan and don't want to spend money on a really good friend.Though the price is cheap, I think your paying for something more than you get.The fan also has a rotate feature which is good if you have other people around and it can cool them down.This fan may not be that big but it can cool really big areas either outside or inside.It is also not that heavy which means the fan is really portable.You can also adjust the height so if you want it to go down or up more, you can just adjust it.This fan is awesome during the summer!

The 18" Lasko pedestal fan is an excellent fan to be used in any house. It extends to 4 feet in height, which is adjustable, and it can tilt such that the air can go around in a top down circular fashion. Because it is 18", it hauls a lot of air, able to cool down any type of big room without any trouble. While the fan functions very well, there are a few shortcomings in this product. The first is the base is a bit big, taking a lot of space. However, because of the big base, the fan is extremely stable and does not tip over. The second major problem is that the base and the rod to the fan is held by only one screw. The result is that the base and the rod gets seperated pretty easily and causing a lot of grief when you want to move the fan around. I ended up gluing the base and the rod with some rubber glue to hold it together. Beyond that, the fan is very good, and it is a recommended product.
