Las Vegas Review Summary

Viewpoints reviewers have "never been to a place more stimulating than Las Vegas". There are plenty of Hotels on the Strip that you can stay at or just visit. "Each hotel offers different things to see".  Watch Dolphins in the Secret Garden at the Mirage, visit wax celebrities at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum at the Venetian, or go to the top of the mini Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel. Besides these attractions, there's also plenty of Shopping, Dining and Gambling around to keep you entertained. A few reviewers say that "Vegas is so overhyped", but overall Viewpoints reviewers are heading back to Las Vegas as soon as they can! Although some claim it is a Family Friendly destination, others state to leave the kids at home since "there is no way your kids could go to Vegas without coming across some rude pictures, advertisements thrown on the ground, gambling, drinking and smoking". If you can't get there quite yet, then check out these Las Vegas TV Shows instead!

My husband and I always knew we would go to Vegas some time after we got married.  After all, everyone in my family has been there, some multiple times, some a ton of times.  Everyone in my family loves it.  What my husband didn't know is that I would get the Vegas bug only a few… read full review »

We spent four days in Vegas during Dec. 2007.  We stayed at the Riveria.  It was outdated.  The elevators did not work.  The only pro was the wonderful service by the bellhop Mike.  He was helpful and offered wonderful advice.  The town itself was not family… read full review »

I have lived in Las Vegas for about two years so here is my guide for my favorite things to do while you are in Las Vegas.  Las Vegas is such a great destination for everyone because there is so much to do and such a wide variety of places to visit.  If you are traveling on a budget, I have some options to save money and still have fun.  If you are going for a luxurious vacation, you can find that in Vegas too. 1. Getting there is easy — Vegas is such an easy drive from California (I did it in about 4 hours), but many airlines also offer great deals on quick… read full review »

Las Vegas, NV has to be one of the most fun cities in the United States.  There are so many things to see and do that you really can never be bored.  It is known as the city of lights, and you will be able to tell that as you walk down Las Vegas Blvd. at night.  It is a beautiful site to see. —      Las Vegas isn't just about gambling anymore.  There are so many shows and attractions to see, it is almost becoming a family getaway.  You could actually spend a vacation there without gambling and never get bored. … read full review »

What is there to like about Las Vegas? — Everything!!!!!! I absolutely LOVE Las Vegas, the Strip, the gambling, nightclubs, elegant quiet evening dining, sight seeing, the stars, the fabulous shows and everything else that goes along with it!!! There are entrance signs at both ends of The Strip that reads; "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas". And TRUST ME, THEY DO MEAN FABULOUS!!! —  I've been there several times, and plan to go back there sometime next year in the spring!! You can come here and just do whatever you want to and at your… read full review »

There is no greater vacation destination in the world than Las Vegas. I love gambling but more than that I love to be entertained. Vegas does just that. They have 1st class shows, great food, amazing scenery(not just the hotels, but the mountain range off in the distance as well). The MGM properties out there treat you the best of the mainstream hotels and allow you to experience many different things. I try to go once a year and it is never the same, Vegas is constantly evolving and getting better with each attempt. If you are over 21 and without kids or have your kids grown up already and… read full review »

We spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Hooters Casino and Hotel.  Rooms were clean, nice towels and the beds were comfy.  Can't say anything about the price though since I won a trip that included air fare and hotel.  Treasure Island has a free outside show so get there early to get your spot on the boardwalk.  The Mirage and Belagio also have outside water shows.  The Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur is a little pricey, $123 for 2, but that does include your meal and non alcoholic beverage.  Show is very entertaining and good for kids. … read full review »

If i knew the fun would never end I'd live there.   I have never been to a place more stimulating that Las Vegas.   You can find anything and EVERYTHING here.   It is a place that keeps re inventing themselves every time I go.   — — I often go to Las Vegas on my vacation.   I have never been disappointed when I went. There is so much to choose from even a week is NOT enough time to truly experience the greatness of Las Vegas. — — Even for non-gamblers Las Vegas is truly wonderful.   As a big fan of history… read full review »

Las Vegas is definately fun in the sun.  I do the usual tourist activities and found plenty of mueums, factory tours, and sightseeing tours available here.  The sightseeing and factory tours can be quite kid friendly. — If you want a reasonably priced family vacation book a package and pick a non casino hotel.  They have all the major chains : Best Western, La Quinta, and Extended Stay America(which have kitchenettes and weekly rates). — They have great factory tours at the Ocean Spray factory, Ethel M chocolate Factory(which has a beatiful cactus garden and… read full review »

The $21.95 lunch buffet at the Wynn Hotel is the best that I have had in Las Vegas. — Sushi, shrimp cocktail, carved roasts, tossed Caesar or Chinese chicken salads, fresh fruits, house made ice cream and desserts... — There are different ethnic foods: Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican. — Home baked bread and… read full review »

If traveling CHEAP is your goal follow what my husband and I do when we plan over yearly (or twice a year) trips to LAS VEGAS.  We have been going to Vegas for the past 13 years and there is something new each trip.  First, my hubby searches for the best airfare directly from the airline website.  From Wisconsin we have found Midwest Airline to be the best.  Once you get to Las Vegas, sign up for the PLAYER's CARDS!!!!  I can't stress this enough.  After our first couple of trips, we started getting hotel offers by the truckloads.  Now we NEVER pay for… read full review »

My husband and I have been going to Vegas for 30 years and we have seen many changes. We had about a 20 year period when we raised our children and visited more family friendly cities like Orlando and Wisconsin Dells but now we meet our empty nester friends in Vegas twice a year.  We  aren't high rollers but being Harrah's total reward card holders we stay at any of thier 40 locations across the country free due to thier loyalty programs. We love to see a show every time we visit it could be Toni Braxton at the Flamingo, Barry Manilow at the Hilton or Danny Gans at… read full review »

I LOVE LAS VEGAS!  What a great place to go.  I enjoy strolling through the casinos & seeing how each incorporates their "theme" throughout the hotel, from furnishings to carpet, staff uniforms, etc.  Each hotel offers different things to see.  The lion exhibit at the MGM, the Bellagio has a beautiful conservatory that we make sure we see each time we go there.  They change the exhibit several times throughout the year, making beautiful settings with flowers of all kinds.  Last time we were in Vegas, the conservatory's theme was "taking a drive along Route 66" &… read full review »

My husband and I always wanted to go to Las Vegas, and this past summer we finally made it there!!!  We didnt stay on strip, We stayed at Sam's Town which is about 15 minutes off strip or so.  First I loved Sam's Town, it was not so much hustle and bustle as the strip, which I loved coming back to after being on strip during the day, ( not to mention the only place we actually won at through our whole trip! haha!).  I loved the atmosphere of Vegas, it was exciting, fun, etc.  I loved going through all the different casinos and comparing the styles and things each one had… read full review »

I've been to Las Vegas 3 times and each time was fantastic.  This is one town where a "plan" is handy but not necessary.  There is something for everyone.  Kids obviously can't spend time on the casino floor, but there is a ton for them to do.  MGM for example has a huge theme park attached to it.  Each hotel/casino is has it's own theme and you can spend days exploring without once dropping a quarter into a slot machine. — The restaurants are endless.  From your $1.99 buffet breakfasts to your $1000 a plate meals.  The shows and entertainment is also… read full review »

I go to Vegas a few times a year. Sometimes I have a budget of a few hundred dollars and sometimes I have twenty bucks. No matter what I have in my pocket, I can always find something fun to do, a lot of it free. Just walking up and down the strip without ever going into a casino/hotel can take a few days. Most casinos/hotels offer something to do or see for free: Bellagio has a garden and the fountains, lions at MGM, window shopping everywhere. When I do have money, every hotel/casino offers something fun to do or eat, without ever gambling a dime: roller coaster at New… read full review »
