Pros

Beautiful Sunset!, close to other must see places, Do whatever whenever, Lots of stuff to see, All-night Entertainment, 24-Hour Public Transportaion., All-night Gambling!

Cons

can be pricey if you are not careful, can lose a lot of money gambling, Weather can be very hot at times., the trashy photos on the streets

My husband and I always wanted to go to Las Vegas, and this past summer we finally made it there!!! We didnt stay on strip, We stayed at Sam's Town which is about 15 minutes off strip or so. First I loved Sam's Town, it was not so much hustle and bustle as the strip, which I loved coming back to after being on strip during the day, ( not to mention the only place we actually won at through our whole trip! haha!). I loved the atmosphere of Vegas, it was exciting, fun, etc. I loved going through all the different casinos and comparing the styles and things each one had to offer. There is so much to see and do there, that you would need weeks, haha! We did go to Hoover Dam the one day, which I would recommend also, it is beautiful. The one drawback that I didnt like was the men standing on strip passing the "adult entertainment" cards in your face. Most people threw them down, where they laid, and gave it a very junky effect. Yes you could not take them, but after a while saying no and trying to get past them was NO FUN. But that is the only thing that bothered me for the whole trip. It can get very hot there, though, I will say. But heat doesnt bother me too much, and you could go into the casinos air conditioning, so it wasnt to bad.

All you have to do with those men is ignore them. By taking it at all you are encouraging them. We didn't put our hands up at all and just pretended they were trees :) It worked and they were never a problem.
