Laplink Software Software PCmover Essentials (PAFGPCMV02000PDRTPEN) for PC Reviews

I bought this (at about half price $25) from Dell when I purchased my new desktop.  I went from Windows XP (old pc) to Windows Vista (new pc).  The software is easy to install and easy to use.  However, I had to undo a few migrations as it moved items I didn't want. 

 You can check the items you want to move (applications and files), but it seems to grab things even though you don't check them for the move.  

 Some of the applications wouldn't work in the new Vista Environment, but I guess that's to be expected.  Just another way for Microsoft and other software providers to make more...

Bought this PC MOVER software when purchasing a new computer (thought it would save me time and hassle.....WRONG)Well first off it fails to mention you have to have old and new computer hooked to internet to make sure you have the most up to date software, thank goodness i have a hub, then it required the installs, then it ask to pick programs and files you wish to move and it gives you a list of whats on your computer, but when you make your choices I suppose it really does not matter cause it moved everything anyway. and after waiting over 2 hours for it to do its job, low and behold my computer...
