My mother gave me a tube with my first. I used it all up! This is a great healing ointment. Lanisoh Lanolin Breast Cream was a life saver the first month of nursing and was religiously applied daily and touched up when needed (due to it's thick consistancy that wasn't too frequent).
Excellent for sore and achy nipples. So soothing to apply. Worked wonders when my second child got teeth and started biting.
Now that I'm not having any nursing problems (until baby 3 gets some teeth) I have been looking for other uses. Excellent for chapped skin. Love to apply to my nose when I have a cold. I have used it like Neosporin on a couple small burns.
My only complaints (like everyone else) are the price and the super thick consistancy. Being so thick you have to rub it between your fingers to get it warmed up and pliable. I had to wipe off my fingers with a napkin and wash with soap to get it all off. Definately want to use nursing pads to keep it off your clothes.
