After waking several times in the middle of the night soaking wet from breastmilk even though I had breastpads on I soon realized I had a problem. I tried cloth washable ones, and every disposable brand there is. However, with an oversupply of milk and a forceful let-down, I was doomed to sleep with a towel under my chest as I slept (on my stomach) until i found these.
These are unique as they seem to have the same absorbant material diapers use that when wet, turn into some sort of gel-like substance and absorb twice as much if not 3 times as much as the other brands.
Besides having more absorbancy, they also wick away moisture as its leaking. The other guys just didnt absorb fast enough so as you were leaking, it would run off the pad into your bra or on your shirt (embarrasing!).
Never had this happen with the Lansinoh brand. I have used these pads for breastfeeding 3 babies now and would never use another brand.
Also, they are undetectable under even just a thin sleep bra.
