As a first-time parent, I didn't know anything about breast pads. I thought they were all the same. Boy was I wrong. When I started leaking I just went out and bought the cheapest ones I could find. They were horrible. They irritated my skin and didn't really offer any protection. The Lansinoh Breast Pads are wonderful. They held up really well. I never had a problem with leaking when I was wearing these. They were undetecable under my shirts as well. No outline could be seen and that was a nice perk. I also appreciated the fact that they stayed in place. They weren't shifting all over and never had to adjust them. The adhesive backing really kept them in place. For not being very bulky they were quite absorbant. I never experienced any type of rash or irritation from these either. While I realize that they are quite expensive considering they are disposable, they are worth every penny. I would recommend these to any breastfeeding mother who is experiencing leaking.
