To the Point

I had Tresor, which means treasure in French, by Lancome quite awhile ago in the perfume form. I thought it too flowery for me. My friend (Her husband has the Highlander I reviewed if you're keeping track of friends!) got Tresor Perfumed Body Lotion as a gift and didn't like it. I'll take just about anything.

A Closer View

The perfume has an oriental, floral fragrance. It is in a beautiful bottle. The lotion matches the perfume both in style and looks. It has notes of musk, lilac, amber and apricot. I can smell some vanilla, one of my favorite fragrances, as well. I remember the perfume and thinking that my mom would like it more than I. She gets her jeans dry cleaned. Tresor Body Lotion is very feminine and is meant to use during the day as is the perfume.

The body lotion runs about $42.00 for 6.7 ounces. It is not one I would buy for myself but it is very pretty for the right person. It's a bit sweet, flowery and strong for my taste. One aspect to the lotion is that I can put just a dab on whereas the perfume was a spray so it was harder to control .

The fragrance lasts. It isn't one I could see putting on after a shower if you are going to an office to work. Nowadays a lot of people prefer not to have smells in close quarters so consider that before giving gifts. Although it is intended for day use, I think of it as a night time lotion but that's just my view.

The lotion is lightweight and not at all greasy. It isn't quite as strong as the perfume making it something that I would use but it wouldn't be my first choice if someone were buying me a gift.

I like it! (but not for me)

I know Tresor is a popular fragrance. Some people I know wear it well and some people who don't own it could pull it off. The bottle is so pretty that this does make a beautiful gift if the person to whom you are giving it likes feminine, floral aromas.
