Not newfangled or high tech but the very best I have used.

5 star rating

over 40 and hating it, fighting aging, into anti-aging creams, a dry skin sufferer, always trying new eye creams
Pros

thickest cream I have ever found, been around for ages, very concentrated, very thick, super hydrating, doesn't irritate eyes, a jar lasts for months

Cons
no new anti aging ingredients, too thick for daytime use for most, not for those who want a light cream

Quick View: A quick look at my many skin care reviews will show you that I love to try different skin care products. But I have to say, the one constant in my life has been Lancome Progres Eye Cream. It's been a favorite of mine for almost 20 years! I didn't even need such a rich cream then but I really believe it is why now, in my 40's, I have very few lines around my eyes.

About Lancome Progres Eye Cream

This cream has been around for a long time and the formula has never changed. As technology advanced and Lancome (as well as every other skin care company) came out with more high tech and newer eye creams, I have steadfastly stuck with Progres after trying the new ones. This cream is the thickest and most emollient cream I have ever used. It comes in a half ounce jar and very little is needed to completely moisturize the eye area.

I started using this eye cream when my older sister who looked great for her age, was using it. My sister told me that she had a coworker who was almost 80 years old who used the eye cream and she looked so young for her age that my sister HAD to try and was hooked. Although I was young (mid-20's), I bought some. And never stopped using it. The cream is white and very thick. Much too thick for daytime use unless you dot a tiny amount on. It isn't really greasy but it is so thick that it takes time to absorb. It doesn't have any newfangled anti aging ingredients it in but, after trying new eye cream and new eye cream, I am convinced that Progres is the best for me.

My eye area needs moisture. Progres gives it that. I awake with fresh, dewy skin around my eyes and, I have to say, time has been good to me as far as crow's feet and deep lines. I absolutely believe that Lancome Progres Eye Cream helped me to stay youthful by supercharging my skin with moisture and hydration. I won't ever stop using this cream. It's $55.00 now for a half of an ounce but one jar lasts me almost six months so I don't feel it is expensive at all. Even if it were twice the cost, I'd still buy it. I believe in it that much.

My Viewpoint

If you have dry skin or want a super heavy eye cream that drenches the eye area in precious moisture, try this one. It doesn't have any technical ingredients in it but, by golly, it does the job and does it well. I adore it and, no matter what other creams I use, I will always favor and use Progres. 5 stars.

I usually tell my wife we have to be there an hour before we really do, cuts down on waiting time ;)

My husband is the same. He throws on some jeans, brushes his hair and waits two hours for me to get ready. lol.

Reading all these reviews on beauty I now know why my wife has to start getting ready 2 hours before we go anywhere...;-O I just brush my hair, tighten my pony tail and I am ready to roll... ;) Ron
