Lancome Juicy Tubes Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss Review

I can't resist lip gloss. Especially when it is free! I received Lancome Juicy Tubes Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss in Fraise as a gift from my sister for Christmas. I like it but it's very pricey and quite average.

The Gloss

Lancome makes several kinds of Juicy Tubes. This is the Ultra Shiny version and that it is! It has a mirror like finish. There is very, very little color, if any on the lips from these tubes. They have a slight sweet, fruity taste and a somewhat sticky finish. The tube has a slanted tip to apply the gloss.

My Use

This gloss is lightly shaded in the tube but clear on my lips. It smells nice and has a sweet taste. It is super shiny and makes a nice top coat over matte lipsticks. Alone, it's OK but just clear gloss that lasts about 30 minutes before disappearing.

I like Lancome products but, for $17.50, I think they could do better. Some Juicy Tubes have pigment and shades which I would prefer. This line is all just shine and gloss - with no color.

It's nice, it's pretty, but it is best as a gift rather than spending the money for a little tube of clear average lasting gloss.

Conclusion

Lancome Juicy Tubes Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss is a decent, shiny clear gloss that lasts an average amount of time on the lips. It slightly hydrates them and looks very nice over matte lipsticks.

Despite it all, these tubes just don't make me want to spend $17.50 to buy more. I appreciate the gift and will use it but won't buy more.

I give these glosses 3 stars. I don't recommend them because, for what they do, you could buy similar for much less.
