This is a gorgeous mascara at first sweep however this mascara only gets better with multiple sweeps. I recommend a minute (or a few) in between applications for the most voluminous and dramatic effect. It's a definite show-stopper! PS - EVERYONE @ work asks me where I buy my mascara! Yes!!! It's THAT MASCARA!

I use Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara everyday. I love it. It seems to make my lashes POP. My lashes are separated and lengthened. It doesn't smudge. This is one beauty product that I splurge on each time it runs out. I really suggest this mascara if you are looking for a new one. T

I'm trying this mascara out for the first time thanks to a gift with purchase mini tube that I received with my order. I don't exactly fuss over my lashes, and I don't need Drama for everyday use, but I was amazed by how much I really love this look. I never apply more than one coat of mascara unless I know my tube is running low on product. My lashes look seriously lush and incredible! The lashes are separated, I didn't struggle with any clumping, and I love the deep black color (called Excessive Black, and the only color available in this formula). I went gray early, and color is one of the reasons I use mascara - to hide those gray lashes. Curl is not a problem for me, nor is length, but I love it when it looks like I have more lashes than really exist. I'm thinking that this brush has a lot to do with the great results. I've seen brushes that have a gentle u-curve, brushes that are straight, brushes that are wider in the center and taper down at each end. This brush has lots of bristles that sort of flare out in different directions, and the shape of the brush sort of meanders. I have no idea what the thinking behind this design was, but this brush separates my lashes and makes them appear to have multiplied. This isn't a drugstore-priced brand (although drugstore prices have really been getting up there in the past year or so!) but I will consider this for a future purchase. The name is easy to remember, and it certainly lives up to its claims. Lancome's website describes it as such: "Get instant lash drama in a single coat with this ultra volume-boosting mascara that'll take lashes from so-so to show-stopping. The full contact brush, with its S-shaped curve, grasps and loads lashes for a fanned out, full body fringe. Lanc?me's luxe Texturizing Complex features highly saturated waxes and intense black pigments for maximum lash volume. I can't say that I've tried tons of mascara to really say this mascara is the absolute best, however this mascara is very very awesome! I've always used drugstore mascara since mascaras should only be kept for a few months, lower end drugstore brands are extensions of higher end brands, mascaras should not be overly expensive since it's just a wand and some black "ink." However, I've received the lancome hypnose mascara from sephora as a a free sample and Ive been a fan ever since! My lashes are not very long and full for that matter. Upon applying it, my lashes looked darker, thicker, and longer! simply amazing stuff! My friend even thought that I wore fake lashes since it looked so long. This mascara seriously beats any other mascaras that I've tried. I would definitely pay the price for it's worth it. Definitely give it a try!

This is the third in the Hypnose series that I've tried, while the mascara goes on well and does not clump, I've found that its overly flaky within an hour. While it does flake, I still find it much better than most other mascaras in the price range, and significantly better than cheaper ones. I have tried the waterproof Hypnose and while it looks great, its practically impossible to remove! I went back to this one and use it every day, the color is strong and stays on well throughout the day. I feel like it does not clump your eye lashes together and certainly makes them look long and dramatic. I would say this is best for people with longer lashes as it does not add much volume. The mascara is easily removed with any decent eye make up remover or even a general face make up remover, which is a nice bonus. The wand is a good size but I personally prefer the straight wand and think the little kink is unnecessary. Basically: good mascara for a decent price.

Lancome's Hypnose mascara is one of my absolute favorite mascaras. I have tried so many and I am always comparing them to the Hynose mascara. It gives me nice dramatic volume and I love that I can apply multiple coats and it doesn't get all clumpy! Many times I have received comments that it looks like I have false lashes on. I have never had an issue with it running or flaking on me like i have experience with others I have tried. I never use waterproof mascara because it is so hard to remove. So I stick with regular formulas versus waterproof. I also love the size and shape of the mascara wand. The shape helps to curl my lashes upward and the thickness of the brush gives me even application. The mascara last a while as well without drying out and it is pretty easy to remove. I use an oily base type eye makeup remover since I tend to wear heavier/dramatic eye makeup. Overall I love this mascara. However, I do wish it was a bit less pricey. I hate having to spend that much on a mascara when I can get one for 1/2 the price at a drug store. But I have yet to find a mascara I like as much as Hypnose.

I have long, straight lashes and am always looking for something to make them outstanding.  I've tried dozens of mascaras from department stores as well as drug stores.  This is the only expensive mascara I haven't  felt cheated by.  It;s not perfection, but it is a good move in the right direction.  It's bold, and it gives definition and a bit of curl.

I absolutely love this mascara! I already own all the other mascaras that Lancome makes but this one takes the cake! It's a deep color of black so it gives me intense color and when i go for the evening smoky eye, it compliments it so well. It is easy to apply and does what it says it does, gives me the volume of the original Hypnose, fans out my lashes and makes them look dramatic. The new curved brush design helps me to spread my lashes out and coat them the way I like. This mascara is even good for everyday use, without my liner it still gives me some depth and drama but not enough to scare anyone. Ha! What I also love about this mascara is the cost. It's the same price as all the other mascaras that Lancome offers! If you need a new mascara you should give this one a try. I promise you will love it! I can not leave my house without, no matter where I'm going. I just hope the mascaras continue to get better and better from this one forward.
