Lancome Ageless Minerale with White Sapphire Complex is a "perfecting and setting powder". It is the only minerale makeup that I have tried that I actually like. It comes in a .12 ounce jar, with a twist off top. The powder is underneath a plastic covering with small holes. You turn it upside down, a small amount of powder comes out of the holes into the lid, then you take a brush, swirl it around and apply to your face using a light touch. I applied this after I was finished putting on all my other makeup. I was really surprised the first time I used this. It gave my face a glowing appearance. I think perfecting and setting is the perfect description because it did make me feel like my makeup looked more professional. It takes the emphasis off wrinkles and flaws and makes your skin look brighter and more radiant. I think it has something to do with how it reflects light, all I know is it gives my face a nice finished look.

After reading many reviews that said mineral make-up is very good for sensitive rosacea prone skin, I decided to try out this mineral based power. This was my first introduction to mineral powder based make-up. I selected the Lancome brand since I was already using other products from their line.  I have now been using this powder for over a year and I have been very pleased with the results. I do not like heavy coverage or the feeling of a heavy, cream so mineral powder is a great alternative. I also like that sunscreen protection thirty is build right into this product. I do recommend that you spend the money on a good brush for proper application.  A good brush makes a huge difference in how this make-up will look on your skin.  The make up blends easily into my skin and it provides a light coverage.  Since using this product, I have noticed that my skin has a nice even looking tone.

Recently, I needed a new foundation and was checking options out there.  I have tried all of the other mineral makeups out there and they cover ok for a little while and then just disappear.  So, I went back to my trusty but not as convenient liquid foundation and concealer.  Then, happenedto be shopping at the Lancome counter one day when the sales lady noticed I had a blemish (embarrassing!)  She suggested one of their concealers and when I explained I already had tried them, she told me about their new mineral makeup.  Geared towards those of us who are not teenagers anymore, it is designed to cover flaws and stay on all day (because really, who has time for touch-ups?)  It also is not heavy so there is not that made up look of makeup plastered on with the dreaded line of demarcation.  She promised it would make my skin glow because of the sapphire complex and cover the blemish without concealer.  When she put it on, she tapped less than a quarter size into the lid, swirled their wonderful powder brush and tapped off the excess.  One all over layer applied, then a second swish on trouble spots like dark circles.  I was amazed! Flawless skin in less than three minutes.  I have had it now for months and still love it!  Also, it has a rotating plastic disc that covers the powder holes when not in use so you don't end up with powder all over if the container happens to get flipped over.  Overall, I am 100% satisfied and would highly recommendthis product to those of you who want a quick, easy foundation that makes you look like you have no flaws.
