I was planning on getting a facial and a manicure and pedicure at Vogue in Deerfield Beach, Florida but after my bad experience there I looked around. When I walked into Lana's Salon in Boca Raton, Florida it felt just right.
A Closer View
Lana's Salon calls itself a "full service salon and retail center." When I first walked in to see what kinds of services they offer I was greeted in a really friendly manner. The Salon looked nice so I made an appointment.
I was very pleased. Lana's Salon is very large because they sell a whole host of beauty products, handmade jewelry and items such as handbags. They have sections for nails, hair, hair washing and coloring. I had my facial first. The room was perfectly darkened with New Age music. Araskia was very nice and started by asking if I were allergic to anything such as nuts or oils. The one thing that started to bug me was that I could hear the clock ticking but Araskia made the music louder. I could hear voices outside the door but after I relaxed put them away.
She did a great job and was very professional and knew her stuff. She put hand mitts/warmers on me, lotion on my arms and even massaged the back of my neck. At one point she asked me if I wanted a service that would take the dead skin off my face. I didn't feel as if she were selling me something and it was only $20.
It was then time for my manicure. I let Maria just take charge and got a great French manicure. Then on to my feet where I sat in a sparkling clean chair. I've been in chairs that vibrated in salons but this one actually massaged me from my head to my lower back. The only thing I would have liked was a foot massage. I paid extra for Lana's pedicure which meant calluses and dry skin were taken off. It cost $33 versus the regular price of $20. For $45 you'd get a spa pedicure which I imagine would give you the massage. I don't think I got $13.00 worth of services though and would choose either the basic pedicure or go for the spa pedicure.
The Salon was spotless and the people friendly. It's a pretty salon but not Boca Raton upscale or I would not have felt comfortable. Lana's had a comfortable ambiance. I would definitely go back. I got 20% off of a hair service and may just have them try to fix what Vogue did!
They also offer waxing and massages. The Gentleman's Room, a full service barber shop, is located inside Lana's.
The implements used are sterilized with the same disinfectants used in hospitals.
Lana's Salon is open every day except Sunday and Monday. They are located at 70-98 Beracasa Way in Boca Raton which is on the corner of Powerline and Palmetto in the Del Mar Shopping Village.
