Lakewood - Organic Lemonade Review

I'm so pleased to find a beverage I can enjoy as a treat that won't create health issues for me. Lakewood Organic Lemonade is not only healthy but delicious, and makes my taste buds dance!

Water is typically what I drink, purified whenever possible. I will also drink herbal teas, but rarely do I drink them cold. And I will admit, sometimes I just want something other than water or tea, but I refuse to drink the unhealthy sodas, flavored waters and sport drinks out there. But this past summer I discovered Lakewood Organic Lemonade, and therefore discovered an end to my beverage boredom.

The ingredients are: pure water, fresh pressed organic lemon juice, organic white grape juice, organic agave from concentrate. That's it! Fresh-pressed juice from fresh, ripe fruit. 60% fruit juice. No sulfites added, no artificial sweeteners, no additives, no gluten, no casein, no GMO products, no cane sugar. Calories are 65 for a 6-oz. serving, with 16g carbs (14g sugar) offering a low glycemic effect (meaning it absorbs slowly into the body). This makes it good for diabetics and all but the most extreme hypoglycemic sufferers. (I'm hypoglycemic and do fine with it, sipping about 4 oz. each serving.) And it comes in a glass bottle, so no worries about BPA. Although I don't remember now what I paid, I do remember being surprised at the relatively low cost for an organic product.

Lakewood Organic Lemonade is not bitter - in fact, it's quite smooth, not overly sweet, and does not leave an unpleasant aftertaste or cause puckering after drinking. It's simply a delicious, wholesome treat. If you want a good-for-you, tasty beverage that you can feel good about drinking, this is definitely something you will want to try. Once you do, you'll be hooked!
