BEWARE FIRE HAZARD
I have had one of these type heaters for approximately 5 years. My furnace went out last night, so I rolled it in my bedroom and plugged it up for the night. Well the next morning I awoke to find that the heater had caught fire at the outlet. Please be careful with these heaters and do not leave unattended or go to sleep with one running. I was fortunate to wake up when I did, and actual flames (not sparks), were shooting from the outlet and burned about three and a half inches up the wall. One half of the plug completely burned up and had to be removed from the outlet. I will never use one of these heaters again. I also found out that the thing to have now is something called an arc fault thingy that is to prevent these types of fires from occurring. Needless to say, I am very lucky to be alive right now.
