We've had our Lakewood oil filled heater for years and have used it everywhere from the bathroom to a garage. It has never failed us. However due to long term (4 years) use in lightly damp conditions the bottom front legs have rusted off. They were easily fixed with a few screws and the heater still works safely and efficiently. . When one of our Lakewood heaters died, and we couldn't find another, we went for another brand whose knobs actually fell off. We've never had that trouble with the Lakewood brand of oil filled heaters. The knobs are sturdy and unlike the thin plastic covering some of the other heaters, this particular model has a solid hard plastic that doesn't get hot to the touch. My only complaint is it's lack of wheels on both the front and the back. Performance Slow to heat but once heated does an amazing job. You can even click it off for a while and the heat radiates. Ease of Use Flick a switch and turn a dial and you've got it. Durability Have had ours for over 4 years. Design Very sturdy! Safety Hot to the touch but that's to be expected.

We are very happy with these heaters. We have four, one for the bathroom, one for a downstairs bedroom, one in the living room, and one for the kitchen. They keep each room comfortable and cozy. Performance We never have to worry about the room being chilly once we have set the temperature and/or timer for these heaters. The one in the bathroom is on a timer, which allows us to save a bit of electricity, but the room is toasty when we get up in the morning. The one in the basement bedroom keeps it so warm that we don't even need to pull the blankets over ourselves. Ease of Use turn the unit on and set the temperature and there you go. The work is all done. Design What can one say about design? It looks like a radiator but that's kind of a cool look anymore.

I think these heaters are great.  I have a couple of different heaters and this one I feel is great.  Yeah there isn't a blower for the heat to circulate, but the heater can warm up a large room.  I've used it for just that purpose quite a few times.

 Oil filled heater has a quiet operation.  Good warmth but not necessarily for a large room.  Like the tip over and over heat shutoff features.  Good if you have small children or pets.  Would be better if it oxciliated or had a fan built in to force more heat into surrounding.
