More than 40 years ago, when I first moved to Oak Park, one of the first things I did was to attend a movie at the Lake Theatre. Over the years, I've logged a lot of time there. One of the best things about retiring was that I could occasionally attend movies during the afternoon, when the admission is only $5.50 and the problem is not finding a seat but rather choosing where to sit. read full review »I live on the outskirts of Oak Park where the Lake Theatre is located. I purposely travel outside the city to visit this lovely movie venue. It's alwasy clean and the people are always pleasant. You wouldn't be able to have a better viewing experience anywhere in the city. I love this theatre and have been a patron for over 20 years.
