Lake Theatre - Oak Park, IL Reviews

More than 40 years ago, when I first moved to Oak Park, one of the first things I did was to attend a movie at the Lake Theatre.  Over the years, I've logged a lot of time there.  One of the best things about retiring was that I could occasionally attend movies during the afternoon, when the admission is only $5.50 and the problem is not finding a seat but rather choosing where to sit.  I love going to the movies and would do so more often if they were not so LOUD now (but the great volume appears to be universal to all shrines of movie entertainment today).  Now that I have cable television,...

I live on the outskirts of Oak Park where the Lake Theatre is located.  I purposely travel outside the city to visit this lovely movie venue.  It's alwasy clean and the people are always pleasant.  You wouldn't be able to have a better viewing experience anywhere in the city.  I love this theatre and have been a patron for over 20 years.
