Most HelpfulOur Quaker Parrot loves these things - they are his favorite treat. We love that they come in a resealable bag, that they are somewhat "soft" while still retaining their shape - they're like granola bars for birds.
Typically, we give one a day as a nighttime treat. They also come in handy when the bird is spooked or throwing a temper tantrum. They are not his primary source of food - although he would love it if they were.
Lafeber's Avicakes are a topnotch food. Not only do these wonderful little square "cakes" contain good nutrition, but they also are wonderful to use as treats with my birds regular diet. My birds (3 budgies) love these little seed/pellet cakes. These 3 little budgies are on a seed diet as I had no success in converting them to pellets; but they will gobble these down. They think they are getting a junk-food snack but really it is quite nutritous for them as the cakes contain all the necessary vitamins/minerals. read full review »These are good. Both my Quaker parrot and cockatiels will eat them, not their favorite but will eat them from time to time for a change of pace. Not very expensive. Love the reclosable back but will still go stale if not used in a reasonable amount of time and my birds won't touch them if they turn hard.
